One of the best things about is catching up with friends who are passionate about British farming and sharing our story with the public.

It was fantastic to see my mate Mike doing what he does best on the Bake Off stage, entertaining the crowds and putting a smile on everyone’s face. 🧁🚜

Many of you will recognise Mike from his appearance on The Great British Bake Off, where he reached the final 12, but what I admire most is how he continues to use his platform to champion British farming, food and the countryside.

Mike has an incredible way of making farming and food accessible to everyone, and it’s easy to see why so many people enjoy what he does.

Unfortunately, we were both so busy across the festival that I didn’t get as much chance to catch up with him as I’d have liked, but it was brilliant to see him in action and hear so many people enjoying his demonstrations.

Keep flying the flag for British farming, mate. You’re doing an amazing job and it was great to share another fantastic Farm Fest with you. 🌾👏

Wow this is amazing…what great craftsmanship and a lovely story behind it.

We have been given a truly fantastic gift from John Whiteley. The carving is of exceptional quality and was featured in Woodcarving Magazine, a fitting recognition of John’s remarkable craftsmanship.

John was born in Huddersfield, and the family holds many fond memories of Harden Moss Sheepdog Trials and the surrounding area, where he also made many good friends over the years. It was at Harden Moss that John achieved his very first trial win, making this trophy especially meaningful.

We are therefore delighted to announce that this award will now be known as the John Whiteley Perpetual Trophy, to be presented for the Best Pen in the Championship.

The question now is — who will be the first competitor to win it?

Can you believe it’s already been two weeks since Farm Fest? 🎶✨

After a fantastic first day presenting, it was time to swap the microphone for the crowd and enjoy an incredible evening of music.

Watching Sophie Ellis-Bextor take to the stage on the opening night was the perfect way to kick off the festival. The atmosphere was amazing, everyone was dancing, singing along and making the most of a brilliant evening.

What made Farm Fest so special was the mix of everything. Farming, food, live music, DJs, entertainment and thousands of people coming together to enjoy a fantastic weekend.

Looking back now, it’s hard to believe that on this first night we still had another two days of the festival ahead of us.

What a way to start an unforgettable weekend ❤️🎶🌾
