Supporting the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) is incredibly close to our hearts ❤️
As horse lovers, we know how special these animals are - but the work the RDA does goes far beyond just "pony rides."
To put it into perspective, here's the incredible impact RDA has across the UK:
🐴 39,000 participants supported
🤝 13,700 dedicated volunteers
🏅 1,700 qualified coaches
📍 400+ RDA Approved Centres & 50+ Approved Riding Schools
❤️ 2,800 amazing equines helping to change lives
So what makes their work so life-changing?
💙 Movement with purpose: The three-dimensional movement of a walking horse closely resembles aspects of the human walking pattern. This unique movement can help improve balance, posture, core stability and muscle control, making therapeutic riding a valuable part of many people's rehabilitation and physical development.
💙 Confidence & connection: Spending time with horses can help build confidence, encourage communication, reduce feelings of anxiety for some participants, and provide a real sense of achievement, independence and freedom.
RDA relies heavily on volunteers and charitable donations to keep these life-changing sessions running. That's why we were so proud to support the recent Chipping Norton RDA raffle! 🎟️
A huge thank you to the incredible volunteers, coaches, supporters and equines who make such a positive difference every single day.
If you'd like to help more people experience the benefits of RDA, please consider making a donation or supporting your local RDA group - every contribution, big or small, helps keep these wonderful programmes running. 💙
