Hale Vet Group

Hale Vet Group Our vets pride themselves on being able to provide the care, service and facilities that they themselves would wish for their own animals.

The Hale Veterinary Group veterinary hospital, based in Chippenham, provides veterinary services beyond those usually available in smaller 'GP-style' practices. The hospital is also the base for all our inpatients that receive the wonderful care and attention from our nursing team during the day and the Vets Now team at night providing true 24hr inpatient care. Our Chippenham waiting room is air-c

onditioned, has a separate 'Cat Corner', free Wi-Fi access while you wait and tea/coffee available on request.

Just look at those ears! 😍

Reggie visited us recently for his primary vaccinations, and we couldn't get over how adorable he is. Those ears suggest he still has quite a bit of growing to do! 🐾

He was a superstar during his visit and charmed everyone he met. We can't wait to see how much he grows over the coming months.

❤️ Drop a comment if you think Reggie's ears are the cutest thing you've seen today!

A Sad Farewell to Siana and Albie

Last week, we said a fond farewell to Siana and her faithful companion, Albie, as they embark on a new adventure in Germany.

While we're sad to see them go, we're excited for the experiences and opportunities that lie ahead for them both. We thank them for being part of our community and wish them safe travels and every success in this next chapter.

We hope to welcome them back when their adventures come to an end. Until then, good luck and best wishes from all of us!

Thinking of taking your pet abroad this year? 🐾✈️

A smooth trip starts long before you pack.

Before booking, make sure you check:

🐾 Your destination country’s pet entry rules

🐾 Your pet’s microchip details

🐾 Rabies vaccination requirements

🐾 How to get an Animal Health Certificate

🐾 Approved travel routes and carriers

🐾 Return-to-UK requirements

Animal Health Certificates must be issued by an Official Veterinarian and are valid for 10 days for entry into the EU, so timing matters.

We’ve all heard these before… 🐾

Our veterinary nurses are pros at keeping pets calm, comforted and cared for - with plenty of kind words (and cuddles!) along the way.

Which words of reassurance do you think your pet would hear the most? 🤔👇

Kodi had a bit of a rough time with his ears recently, but he was in the best hands with Tina 🐾

After coming in with some ear trouble, Kodi was admitted for the day so Tina could carry out a full assessment and deep clean of his ear canal under anaesthetic. This allows for a thorough, pain-free examination and ensures everything is properly treated.

As you can see from the video, he was feeling so much more comfortable afterwards — back to his happy self! 💙

If you notice your pet shaking their head, scratching, or seeming uncomfortable, it’s always worth getting their ears checked early.
