A fantastic article written by Trusted Game director Rita Alves, was published in the Shooting Times last month, focused around the challenges of rearing birds in the record-breaking hot weather this summer ☀️🌡️

It was great to see the Trusted Game Scheme mentioned, and the role the audit can have in preparing sites for challenges as they arise, as well as ensuring bird welfare is maintained at a high standard.

The Trusted Game Assurance Scheme sets the standard for self-regulation across the game sector.

Covering breeding & hatching, rearing, releasing and shooting, the scheme provides a clear framework to support high standards, accountability, and responsible practices.

Audits are carried out by your vet, following a strict Trusted Game protocol — ensuring consistency, rigour, and sector-led assurance.

Now operating beyond a simple pass or fail, the scheme recognises achievement through Gold, Silver and Bronze standards — encouraging continuous improvement across the sector.

Demonstrating commitment.

Maintaining confidence.

Protecting the future of the sector.

Contact your vet to discuss more, or drop us a message — we’d love to hear from you.

The new shiny Trusted Game certificates have arrived!
Beyond a standard PASS (covering all the legal elements) game farms and shoots can now pass as BRONZE, SILVER or GOLD depending on how they align with best practice.
From recent audits its great to see a handful of gold certificates going out shortly!!

Shoots already do so much for the communities that they are a part of.

Jobs in fragile, rural communities for gamekeepers as well as other local trades. Mechanics, butchers, cleaners and more.

Seasonal work for shoot day staff such as beaters, dog handlers, loaders and drivers.

Boosting hospitality over winter when other forms of tourism tails off.

Partnering with The Country Food Trust to help feed people in need.

We need your birds this season, contact us if you would like to be involved.

Local communities supporting local communities.
