ππFIREWORK FACTSHEETππ
The 5th November is fast approaching and itβs around this time that we get lots of calls asking for advice for our clientβs beloved pets on Bonfire Night πWeβve compiled a short list of hints and tips to keep your furry ones comfortable and happy this Fridayβ€οΈπΎ:
πDOGSπ
πΆ Walk your dog during daylight hours
πΆ Create a safe haven for your dog that they can settle in before fireworks begin, including providing toys and other things they enjoy
πΆ Close windows and curtains to muffle the sounds/flashes of the fireworks
πΆ Put on some music or TV to mask the sounds
πΆ Try a pheromone diffuser leading up to the event to help calm your dog
πββ¬CATSπββ¬
π± Provide hideaways in your home in quiet areas
π± Donβt try to tempt them out of these areas as they may become more stressed
π± Consider keeping your cats inside during fireworks as they may become stressed outside
π± Make sure your cat is microchipped in case theyβre startled and escape outside
πSMALL FURRIESπ
π° Partly cover outside cages and pens with blankets so there is an area that is soundproofed and hidden
πΉ Provide bedding for small animals to burrow in
π° Consider bringing them indoors; this will need to be done gradually so plan ahead
