We lost Ey-up-duck the Mallard last week. He was brought to us with some horrible injuries many years ago and ended up being a long-term resident. Due to mobility issues he could not fly and so would not have survived in the wild. During his time with us he looked after many older ducklings and kept them in check before release. Befriended many adult mallards during their time with us in the wildlife hospital so they weren’t alone and more recently became Alvins best friend (the Canada goose). Ey-up-duck was gentle and kind and a good friend to many. When he passed away, poor Alvin became very depressed. Then at the weekend we got the call we’d been hoping for. A family we know could offer Alvin a home and it sounded perfect.
On Monday Alvin went to his new home. He has made loads of new friends already and is settling in really well. 🩵🧡💛

Lola had a trip to the vets this morning for a health check, vaccine and worming treatment in preparation for her adoption later this week. She was the model patient and purred the whole time. Lola then enjoyed a little treat for being such a good girl back at her foster home.💛🩵🧡

Her favourite toy is very well loved and we’d really like to have a spare. We’ve added a photo in the comments if anyone knows where we might be able to get her a new one from.

Little Muffin has been adopted!🩵🧡💛
He is doing really well, absolutely loves morning veggies time and gets very excited alongside his new brothers. He’s also enjoying cuddles and exploring his new home.
Muffin was our first adoption using our new foster care system. Thank you to the wonderful foster family and Muffins new family for making the adoption a huge success.
