Think very carefully before you take your dog on a walk this week. With a rare red heat warning being issued in parts of the UK, hot pavements and high temperatures can quickly put dogs at risk 💔

Hold the back of your hand to the ground for several seconds. If it's too hot for you, it's too hot for your dog's paws.

Walk dogs during the coolest times of the day, such as early morning or late evening. On exceptionally hot days, it may be best to avoid walks altogether and instead focus on enrichment activities and keeping your dog cool and comfortable at home.

The next Kennel Club Puppy Foundation Course will be held at Arkwright Centre, Arkwright, starting on Tuesday 28th July 2026.
We focus on the basic positions

🐕Sit. 🐕Down. 🐕Stand.
🐕Recall. 🐕Stay. 🐕Lead work.

We also do exercises to build on your relationship and improve how you communicate with your Pup.
In addition to the above we introduce play exercises with your pup.
Food manners , Meet & Greet with humans and dogs of varying breeds & ages.

Another great night at dog training last night with hard work being rewarded with numerous handlers passing Bronze, Silver & Gold Awards.
Well done to everyone.
We will start our new adventure onto the next Awards Inc Platinum+ Advanced and Platinum Gold.

Excellent result for Dawn, Charlie and Michelle who gained their Kennel Club Bronze Award with Twiggie, Donnie and Robbie at Stafford Show Ground on Saturday.
Feed back from the Royal Kennel Club assessors was really positive .
