Well done to all the handlers that achieved their Kennel Club Puppy Foundation, Bronze, Silver, and Gold Award . Also to the handlers that achieved their MDT Platinum Awards.
Thank you to all the handlers that participated in the assessment that were not quite ready.

Platinum Gold Exercise last night which consisted of an Eight minutes
,"Stay" Exercise in the "Sit", " Stand" & "Down" Position.
As a added distraction there are dog toys scattered around and High Value treats placed on top of each Orange Cone.
Just to throw an extra element into the exercise all handlers leave the room during the down element of the exercise.
Well done everyone.

A selection of dogs doing the 2-1-2 exercise.
Two minutes "Stay in the Sit"
One minute "Stay in the Stand"
Two minutes "Stay in the Down"
Followed by "Stay in the down with handlers out of sight.

Think very carefully before you take your dog on a walk this week. With a rare red heat warning being issued in parts of the UK, hot pavements and high temperatures can quickly put dogs at risk 💔

Please share this post to reach more dog owners.

Hold the back of your hand to the ground for several seconds. If it's too hot for you, it's too hot for your dog's paws.

Walk dogs during the coolest times of the day, such as early morning or late evening. On exceptionally hot days, it may be best to avoid walks altogether and instead focus on enrichment activities and keeping your dog cool and comfortable at home.
