Our next member of the team is Beth 💙

You may have missed Beth as she has been on maternity leave, but she will be back with us very soon🥰

Beth graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2018 and joined the practice later that year. She enjoys all aspects of her work but has a particular passion for exotic and wildlife cases, with hopes to specialise in this field in the future.

Outside of work, she loves exploring the Peak District, travelling, and spending time outdoors.

At home, Beth lives on a working farm with her husband and children, Dottie the collie, and Moss the munsterlander. Beth has a small flock of sheep, which she enjoys taking care of. She also enjoys agility training, canicross, and long walks in the Peaks.

Next up is Nikki 💙

Nikki joined the practice in July 2017 after graduating from Liverpool University, bringing with her a particular passion for orthopaedic surgery. You’ll also rarely find Nikki far from a cat, as she’s a big cat lover😻

Outside of work, Nikki is a keen open-water swimmer and has an incredible achievement under her belt, having completed the English Channel seven times, both solo and as part of relay teams! She has also taken on the challenge of a relay swim across the Irish Sea.

When she’s not taking to the water, Nikki loves exploring the beautiful Lake District and enjoying the music and atmosphere at the Tiree Music Festival.

At home, Nikki enjoys family life with her husband and daughter, alongside their cat, Pipistrelle, and their much-loved cavapoo, Finlay. 🐾

Our next team member to meet is Lindsey 💙

Lindsey graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2012 and has been part of the Spire Vets team ever since. Even before qualifying, she spent three years on placement with us during her studies, building strong relationships with both our staff and clients.

Her main passion lies in surgery — she’s happiest when in theatre!

Outside of the practice, Lindsey leads a busy life on her farm, caring for a lively collection of animals she enjoys spending time with her young family skiing and playing in the snow during winter.

Up next is our lovely Lucy! 💙

Lucy first joined our practice in 2007 during her university placement and returned as a qualified vet in 2009 after graduating from the University of Liverpool.

She brings a wealth of medical expertise to the team, with interests in oncology and surgery.

Outside of work, Lucy enjoys life with her husband, two young children, and their Sphynx cat, Smee, and new puppy Rita. She makes the most of her free time exploring the Peak District and horse riding.

Meet the team Monday 🐾

We’re pretty sure this man needs no introduction… but just in case you’ve somehow missed him!

Meet our practice owner, Bruce! 🐾

Bruce grew up on a sheep farm in Western Australia before studying at Murdoch University in Perth. After a year in South Australia, he set off to the UK for what was meant to be a two-year work and travel adventure—but he never left.

He settled in Chesterfield, drawn by its proximity to the Peak District, where he enjoys rock climbing, cycling, and open water swimming.

Professionally, Bruce has a strong interest in surgery, with a particular focus on orthopaedics and acupuncture.

At home, life is lively. He lives on the edge of the Peak District with his partner, two children, rescue dogs, sheep, chickens, more horses than he planned for, and one very cool cat

We thought it was time to introduce you to the wonderful people behind the scrubs! 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️🐶🐱

Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be introducing our amazing team members, one by one, right here on Facebook. 💙

You’ll get to know a little bit more about the people who care for you and your pets every day — including their roles within the practice, their favourite things about working in veterinary care, their own pets and a few fun facts along the way! 🐾🥰

Seb has gone missing from Old Whittington and was last seen on 30th September. 💔

He wears a Pink collar and is microchipped and neutered

Please could everyone in the Old Whittington area check your sheds, garages, outbuildings, gardens and anywhere Seb could have become accidentally trapped. Cats can hide in the smallest of places, so please have a really thorough look.

If you have seen Seb or have any information about where he might be, please get in touch with his owner.

📞🐾 A little appreciation post for our amazing reception team! 🐾📞

Our receptionists are often the first friendly face you see when you walk through our doors and the voice at the end of the phone when you need us most. ❤️

From booking appointments and answering a LOT of questions, to helping worried owners, keeping everyone organised, dealing with the unexpected and somehow managing to keep smiling through it all… our reception team really do keep the practice running! 🥰

So today, we’re giving a huge THANK YOU to our wonderful receptionists for everything they do for our clients, our patients and the whole team. 🐶🐱🐰
