Hi everyone. Well, our holiday is over and the cattery has been back open for a couple of weeks. Shuttlewood Road is also open again so no more guessing which end of the road to approach us from! 😄 We currently have about 30 cats with us enjoying the delightful weather, and we are busy preparing the cattery for the busy months ahead.

Please note that we are already full for Easter as well as some dates in the summer, and are taking bookings every day. Please make sure you book early to avoid disappointment.

Hi everyone. We just wanted to remind you that the cattery will close on Sunday 22nd February for a short holiday and some maintenance. We wil reopen on Monday 9th March ready for the Easter and Summer seasons. We have taken a lot of advance bookings already and are getting full for some parts of the summer, so if you need a booking we recommend contacting us well ahead of your holiday.

Also, advance notice that our winter holiday this year will be from 17th November until 7th December 2026.

UPDATE ON ROAD CLOSURE: The centre portion of Shuttlewood Road will be closed until 22nd February so I've attached a map here to help you find us. If you come from the Shuttlewood end rather than the Bolsover end then you will be able to get to us. Apologies but this is beyond our control.

Hi everyone. Shuttlewood Rd is currently closed between the cattery and Bolsover for building works. If you are coming to us from the direction of Bolsover, you will need to follow the diversion (down Bolsover Hill through a couple of roundabouts, right towards the recycling centre and on to Shuttlewood). Access to the cattery from the Shuttlewood end of the road is as normal. Hope that all makes sense. 😄

Hi everyone. We had a lovely break and have now reopened ready for the holidays. We are open at our usual times over Christmas and New Year; we are fully booked until 30th December but we do have very limited availability for New Year. We remain open through January and most of February and then close for a short "pre-summer season" break from 23rd February until 8th March inclusive. We will then be open throughout the spring and summer. If you would like a booking for the summer months, we recommend contacting us as far in advance as possible as we usually get booked out quite quickly.

Hi everyone. It has been quite a busy month as we have had some of the pen roofs renovated and have been busy painting some of the green pens....when the weather has allowed! We are now full for much of the Christmas period with a few spaces left over New Year so if you need a booking please contact us as soon as possible, and we do keep a waiting list in case of cancellations.

We are now closed until Saturday 6th December for our annual holiday and a bit more pen maintenance. A reminder that we are also closed from Monday 23rd February until Sunday March 8th 2026 inclusive for our "pre-summer season rest-up" 😁.

Hi everyone. We are starting to wind down towards our autumn break but still have lots of lovely guests staying in the cattery. If you are picking up or dropping off during the next couple of weeks, please be aware that we are having some work done on the house and so there is a skip to the side of the driveway. The cattery is still easily accessible through the usual entrance and there should be space on the drive or road to park. 👍

Hi everyone. It has been a busy summer here at the cattery. We have enjoyed seeing our regular visitors as well as meeting some lovely new cats and owners. We still have a lot of guests over the next couple of months and we are also having some maintenance done so it will remain busy!

A reminder that we close for holiday on Sun 16th November and reopen on Sat 6th December.

An advanced note that we are almost completely fully booked for Christmas and New Year and have very few spaces remaining on limited dates.
