UPDATE: Power is back 😄
Hi everyone. We’re currently experiencing a power outage meaning that we have no landline, internet etc. So please bear with us if you are trying to contact us. The National Grid say they are working hard to restore the power……..🤷‍♂️

Hi everyone. We're in the middle of the summer season here at the cattery and it is busy! In fact, we have our busiest day of the summer coming up on Friday (7th August) so we will be extending our opening hours for that day only as we have so many arrivals and departures. We have written to everyone who is due to either drop off or pick up their cat(s) on Friday so please check your email!

We are almost full for September so if you need a booking please contact us as soon as possible. We are, of course, open over Christmas and New Year but do get filled quite quickly, so book early to avoid disappointment.

A quick reminder that the cattery will be closed from 16th November until 6th December for our annual holiday and maintenance.

In the meantime, please enjoy this picture of the lovely Nellie and Narla, who are two of our regular visitors. They were having a "Smith and Jones" face-off. 😂

Hi everyone. We are starting to get really busy here at the cattery and are now almost completely fully booked until the end of August. However, we do have a few spaces still so if you need a booking, get in contact as soon as possible. We do also keep a waiting list in case of cancellations so please ask about this.

We've been dealing with the hot weather in our usual ways - regular welfare checks, wrapped iced water bottles in the pens, shades to protect from the sun etc - and it's nice that the temperature has now gone down a bit!

Advance notice that we will be taking our holidays this year from 16th November until 6th December so the cattery will be closed between these dates.

Enjoy this picture of the adorable Kiki who stayed with us recently. She's absolutely gorgeous! ❤️

Hi everyone. Well, our holiday is over and the cattery has been back open for a couple of weeks. Shuttlewood Road is also open again so no more guessing which end of the road to approach us from! 😄 We currently have about 30 cats with us enjoying the delightful weather, and we are busy preparing the cattery for the busy months ahead.

Please note that we are already full for Easter as well as some dates in the summer, and are taking bookings every day. Please make sure you book early to avoid disappointment.

In the meantime, here is the lovely Bailey who visited us recently. He is absolutely gorgeous!

Hi everyone. We just wanted to remind you that the cattery will close on Sunday 22nd February for a short holiday and some maintenance. We wil reopen on Monday 9th March ready for the Easter and Summer seasons. We have taken a lot of advance bookings already and are getting full for some parts of the summer, so if you need a booking we recommend contacting us well ahead of your holiday.

Also, advance notice that our winter holiday this year will be from 17th November until 7th December 2026.

In the meantime, enjoy this picture of the delightful Monty who visited us recently.

UPDATE ON ROAD CLOSURE: The centre portion of Shuttlewood Road will be closed until 22nd February so I've attached a map here to help you find us. If you come from the Shuttlewood end rather than the Bolsover end then you will be able to get to us. Apologies but this is beyond our control.

Hi everyone. Shuttlewood Rd is currently closed between the cattery and Bolsover for building works. If you are coming to us from the direction of Bolsover, you will need to follow the diversion (down Bolsover Hill through a couple of roundabouts, right towards the recycling centre and on to Shuttlewood). Access to the cattery from the Shuttlewood end of the road is as normal. Hope that all makes sense. 😄

UPDATE: Issue is fixed....I hope.......😄 Happy New Year everyone!

Hi everyone. We are having some technical problems with our email. Unfortunately we are not able to receive emails, although we can still send them. It is being investigated and I'll let you know when it is sorted. Apologies for the inconvenience.

What a lovely surprise this morning to find that Santa had visited the cattery and left some lovely treats for the cats! Hagrid couldn't wait to get into his and was waiting for us to put them in his pen 😄

Merry Christmas from Darryl, Jenny, Sammy and Reggie ❤️
