✨SUNDAY SPOTLIGHT: CHIP & BEAN✨
Remember Snowy and Gushan, now known as Chip and Bean? Well, these two lovely girls have been busy making memories, and just look at them go!

Their family recently shared an update after a six-month whirlwind of settling in, growing in confidence, and discovering what life has to offer. And their latest adventure? A glamping trip during the summer holidays! ⛺

The girls stayed in a cosy wooden lodge, enjoyed plenty of walks, visited cafés and spent time around lots of other dogs and animals. And according to their family, they've been nothing short of incredible! ❤️

From learning the ropes of home life to holidaying in a wooden lodge, these girls are proving that there's a whole world of adventures waiting when you find your people.

Thank you for giving Chip and Bean such a wonderful life and for sharing these gorgeous photos with us. Here's to many more walks, café stops, cosy nights away and happy memories together! 🐾

From Snowy and Gushan to Chip and Bean, look how far these girls have come!

SPECIAL APPEAL FOR OUR FOSTER ANIMALS!

Meet Coco and Tulip ❤️

These two lovely ladies are our longest-stay dog and cat, and they’re still waiting for their happy ending.

We’re incredibly lucky that both Coco and Tulip are enjoying life in foster care. Their foster carers have given them comfort, stability, and the chance to experience the little things that make a house feel like home. We’re so grateful to them for that 💚

But as wonderful as foster care is, we want these girls to find something even more permanent.

🐶 COCO – 12 years young!
Coco is a Boxer cross who may be 12 years old, but she certainly hasn't got the memo! As far as she's concerned, age is just a number. She's still got plenty of life to enjoy, and we want her to spend it surrounded by people who adore her.
https://chesterfield-rspca.org.uk/coco/

🐱 TULIP – 10 years old and home is where the heart is.
Tulip is a domestic short-haired cat who has discovered that living in a home and spending time with humans is, quite frankly, the life for her! She's found comfort in the home environment, and now we want to find her a permanent place to call her own.
https://chesterfield-rspca.org.uk/tulip/

💔 It can be easy to overlook older animals when looking for a new companion, but Coco and Tulip have so much to give.

Could you be the person who finally gives Coco or Tulip their forever home?

🏡 If you think you could offer either of these lovely ladies a home, apply now.

And if you can't adopt, please share this post. Their people might be out there, and you could help them find each other 🐾

💚 A BIG THANK YOU TO TESCO ABBEYDALE ROAD! 🐾

We’d like to say a huge thank you to the lovely team at Tesco Sheffield Abbeydale in the community for their generous donations to our animals! ❤️

Every donation helps us care for the animals who come through our doors, from keeping tummies full to making sure they have the supplies they need while they wait for their forever homes.

Support like this makes such a difference to our work, and we’re so grateful that the team took the time to think of our four-legged residents 🐶🐱🐰

From all of us here at RSPCA Chesterfield & North Derbyshire, thank you for your kindness and generosity! 💚

🐶 PLEASE REAPPLY FOR PUPPY HOMES! 🐶

We still have two of Kila’s gorgeous puppies looking for their forever homes!

When we first opened applications, we received hundreds of enquiries. We were blown away by the interest.

Both remaining puppies have now been placed on reserve and let down multiple times.

We completely understand that circumstances can change. Life happens, and what was possible when you first applied might not be possible now. With so much time having passed since applications originally opened, we can't be certain that everyone who applied is still in a position to welcome a puppy into their lives.

So, we're asking anyone who is ready and serious about offering one of these puppies a forever home to apply again now.

They're getting bigger, more confident, and more lovely by the day, and it's time for them to start the next chapter of their lives with families of their own.

If you've been thinking about adding a puppy to your family, we'd love to hear from you.

📩 Please submit a fresh application here: https://chesterfield-rspca.org.uk/10-x-puppies/

And please share this post. Their people might be out there, just waiting to find them 💚

Let's get these last two puppies home! 🏡

🎁 HELP US DELIVER A LITTLE JOY THIS CHRISTMAS! 🐾

Have you spotted the beautiful Christmas tree in Dunelm yet? 🎄

We’re so lucky to have been chosen as one of the charities for Dunelm’s Delivering Joy campaign, and now we need your help to make the most of this wonderful opportunity!

It’s a really simple way to make a difference to the animals in our care, and you can get involved while doing your Christmas shopping ❤️

🎄 Here’s how it works:
🎁 Head into the Chesterfield Dunelm store and find the Delivering Joy Christmas tree.
🐾 Choose a tag from the tree to see what’s needed.
🛍️ Buy the gift and drop it off in store.
🚚 Dunelm will then deliver the donations directly to us!

Every gift will help us make life a little brighter for the animals spending Christmas at our centre, whether they’re waiting for their forever home or receiving the care and support they need before they’re ready for their next chapter.

We know how generous our local community can be, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have this support. If you’re visiting Dunelm, please take a moment to find our tree and choose a tag. Even one little gift can make a big difference 💚

A huge thank you to Dunelm for including us in Delivering Joy, and to everyone who takes part. You’re helping us bring a little extra Christmas magic to the animals who need us 🐶🐱🐰

Pop into Dunelm, pick a tag, and help us deliver some joy! 🎅🏼🎄

❄️THIS WINTER, YOUR KINDNESS COULD CHANGE A LIFE 🐾

As temperatures drop, our energy bills rise. Keeping the animals in our care safe, warm, and comfortable through the coldest months comes at a high price.

Over the cold months between 2024 and 2025, our energy bills totalled over £10,000. That’s more than £10,000 spent keeping our centre warm and making sure the animals who depend on us have a safe place to recover, rest and wait for their next chapter.

But imagine what we could do if we could offset some of that cost.

Every pound saved on running costs is money we can put towards helping more animals. More lives we can change. More animals given the chance to have the future they deserve ❤️

Just like Pumpkin 🎃🐱

When Pumpkin’s owners found themselves unable to afford the costly surgery she needed, they reached out for help. We were able to take Pumpkin into our care, get her the treatment she needed, and give her a second chance.

Today, Pumpkin is happily settled with her forever family 🏡

Her story is a reminder of what your support makes possible. Without the resources to care for animals like Pumpkin, we couldn’t give them that chance.

The Safe This Winter Appeal is about more than keeping the heating on. It’s about making sure we can keep opening our doors to animals who need us.

If you can spare a donation, no matter how big or small, you’ll be helping us keep our animals warm while making room in our budget for the care, treatment, and second chances they deserve.

💚 Please donate to our Winter Appeal today: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/safethiswinter

And if you can’t donate, sharing this post could help it reach someone who can.

From all of us at RSPCA Chesterfield & North Derbyshire, thank you for helping us be there when animals need us most❤️

💚 A HUGE THANK YOU TO SOPHIE FROM PAWTASTIC WALKS! 🐾

We had a lovely surprise at the weekend when Sophie from Pawtastic Walks popped down to see us with three HUGE bags of donations for our animals! 🎁

Every single donation helps us care for the animals who come through our doors, and knowing that people in our community are thinking of them means so much to our team.

We’re incredibly lucky to have supporters like Sophie, who go out of their way to make a difference to the animals in our care!

From all of us here, two-legged and four-legged alike, thank you, Sophie! Your kindness is hugely appreciated 🐶🐱❤️
