Morning Everyone,
Following on from yesterday's post, which many of you have now seen and which has been widely shared, I wanted to provide some clarification and reassurance regarding my business.
I want to keep this short, and have no intention to worsen the situation.
It is correct that the dog in question was not provided overnight care with me. I have already apologised for the miscommunication and for the failure in service surrounding this arrangement and issued a full refund.
However, the allegation that the dog was left alone from 7:00am until 5:30pm is incorrect. The dog received full daytime care during the hours of 7am to 9pm including morning walks before temperatures became too high, in line with my strict hot weather policy. He spent approximately 2–3 hours out enjoying his usual walks, and I have included evidence below to demonstrate this. Dogs do not have 24/7 care, they are left up to 4hrs maximum in the daytime for other walks and visits to be completed which is in my contract. At no point was the dog left alone for 12–14 hours. I would never leave a dog in my care unattended for that length of time.
During the cover provided, Elvis never had shown any signs of distress or behavioural changes to be of any concern to myself. I also want to address the allegations made against myself and my partner regarding the treatment of dogs. I categorically deny these claims, we would never abuse a dog, and have no recognition of needing to ever "shout" at Elvis, as he was always a good dog.
If anyone would like to discuss this situation further, I am happy to discuss directly. As a small business and a human, the effects of people's direct and indirect comments and messages are extremely challenging. But, I wanted to show there was a service provided, and further evidence is available.
Any abuse, slander or messages will be dealt with legally.
Many thanks, Ellouise.
