Watch us transform this cat with a lion cut.

This cat came to us with lots of matting and tangles throughout their coat. When a coat becomes this matted, brushing isn't always the kindest or safest option.

In cases like this, a lion cut is often the most comfortable solution. It removes the painful mats quickly and safely, giving the skin a chance to breathe and allowing the coat to grow back healthy.

Just look at the transformation by the end of the groom. Most importantly, this cat left feeling far more comfortable than when they arrived.

If you're noticing tangles or mats starting to form, don't wait until they become painful. Getting them dealt with early can make all the difference.

Summer coat offenders... exposed.

Summer is one of the busiest times of year for outdoor adventures, but it's also when we see some of the strangest things hiding in cats' coats!

The biggest culprit? Those sticky green seeds. They cling to the fur, are incredibly difficult to brush out, and if left too long can quickly lead to tangles and painful mats.

We're also finding all sorts of outdoor treasures, including twigs, leaves and plenty of other mystery bits that have hitched a ride home.

Giving your cat a quick once-over after they've been outside can help catch these before they become a bigger problem.

If you've ever wondered what it's sounds like inside a cat grooming salon, here's a little glimpse into our daily conversations…

"Nice fluffy bum!" A compliment we never thought we'd be saying so often.

"Watch the ni***es!" Trust us, it's a very important reminder!

"I've got hair on my eyeballs." Cat fur has a way of getting absolutely everywhere.

"Just a little spicy!" Our polite way of saying someone isn't quite enjoying their spa day.

"Grab the bite busters." Safety first, for both us and your cat.

"Oh no… they've gone behind the sofa!" Every cat has a favourite hiding spot, and they're usually experts at finding it.

So you think cats groom themselves?

They do... but sometimes they need a helping hand.

Although cats spend a huge part of their day grooming, but that doesn't always mean they're able to keep their coat in perfect condition.

Long-haired cats are especially prone to matting, as loose hair can quickly become tangled and tighten against the skin. Mats aren't just unsightly, they can be uncomfortable, painful and even restrict movement if they're left for too long.

It's not just long-haired cats we see benefit from professional grooming. We regularly see short-haired cats with excess loose coat, compacted undercoat, dandruff and coats that need a little extra help. Older cats, overweight cats and those with health conditions may also struggle to groom themselves as thoroughly as they once could.

We know the summer holidays are all about making memories, but if your cat could talk, they might have one small request...

"Please remember it's my summer holiday too."

Children running around, visitors popping in, doors opening and closing, suitcases everywhere and routines completely changing can all feel overwhelming for many cats.

If your cat seems quieter than usual, is hiding more, or just wants some peace and quiet, don't worry, they're simply asking for a little time to recharge.

Make sure they have:
• A quiet room they can escape to
• Fresh water and food away from the chaos
• Their normal routine wherever possible
• Plenty of places to hide and feel safe

A little understanding goes a long way.
