As it’s that time of the year when there is pregnant ewes and lambs in the fields I wanted to show this video of my rescue dog Blue.

We got Blue a couple of years ago as a rescue, she didn’t have a very good start to life and was a very anxious dog which was causing reactivity to certain things when out on a walk. All heel work and socialisation has been done by myself to get her to where she is at now (best believe there is still work to do and she’s not perfect socialisation wise due to her past).

It is so important that if you’re walking your dogs around livestock that they can behave accordingly.

PLEASE NOTE the sheep in the video are owned by us and are NOT pregnant ewes they are tups, pet whethers and a goat who are used to being around dogs and people.

Hi Everyone, my name is Shelby!

Originally as some of you know I set up my dog walking business which I loved and I met some amazing clients and dogs who I adored but I always knew that after working as dog trainer for around 3 years that this is what I wanted to be doing. I wanted to tell you a little bit about myself and what I’ve been up to over the past few years.

Since l first started doing dog training a few years ago we had Covid, lockdown and then I brought my 2 daughters into the world who have been my main focus for the past 3 years and spending as much time as possible with them while they are young. All of this of course put my career of becoming a self employed dog trainer on hold but I am now ready to fulfill that dream and help all my future clients and their furry companions!

My passion for working with dogs first ignited around 2018 from working in a rescue kennels in the Retford area, since then I have my own 3 dogs, Scooby the cocker spaniel, Gus the Border collie and Blue the Cattle dog x. They all have such big personalities, Scooby I have trained and brought up from a pup, Gus was brought as a working dog for our flock of sheep and Blue was brought as a rescue after having a tough start to her life.

I have trained many different dogs over the years so I have plenty of experience in handling all kinds of behavioural issues and I’m always up for a challenge. So if you’re looking for a dog trainer who has always had a huge passion for caring for dogs, is always seeking to help others out as much as I can and a positive can of do attitude then look no further!🐾

DOGGY PLAY SESSIONS🎾🐾

Does your dog have a lot of energy that needs burning off?
A dog that is nervous or reactive to other dogs and would enjoy their own space to play?
Or even just a dog that would love to play and run around?
The sessions will include a variety of different toys to play with including -
-Tug toys

- Frisbee’s
- A small doggy pool if your dogs like to splash around in the water or have a cool down💦

I am currently offering play sessions in our very own enclosed field! This will consist of me picking up your furry friend(s) and taking them to the field for the chosen duration of time, there will be photos and videos provided after each session.
