Lead pulling is not often about 1 thing and just the actual training on a lead. It’s often a mixture of things that all work together to help with excitement and calmness and working around distractions.

Winston is going to work on this for a couple of weeks and then I will be back to develop the training further 😊

Max is such a cutie and his owner is so committed to making things the best for him.

So far we have worked on nipping, jumping, basic recall, going to bed and lead walking. He’s doing really well and getting really good at being calm.

Next week we are ramping up the recall 💪🏻♥️

Waiting for the dogs to arrive for the nature group social walk and coffee earlier at Peak Village Rowsley before it got too hot. It’s a lovely calm and gentle shady route 💕

While it is so so hot and too hot to walk our dogs how about doing some really simple lead training inside the house instead with your dogs daily food….

A couple of minutes a couple of times a day walking in different directions with your dog following you for the food can really help with lead training. The more you build value in being near to you the easier your lead training will eventually become.

Putting the lead on in the house and walking around the kitchen table or sofa can also help your dog to calm down if they are wanting attention or over excited in general and then they can often settle better afterwards😊
