This morning on my pick up round I was treated to a beautiful home made pancake for breakfast by the wonderful Beth & Fabo 🥰 Thank you so much 🙏🏽

Got 21 thousand steps in the bag and haven’t seen a single soul all day 😍🙌🏽 thank you rain 🌧️🙏🏽

Every dog I’ve walked and visited today has been on their absolute best behaviour despite having 2 weeks off 🥹 absolute angles ❤️

✨ What a wonderful first day back! ✨

After a recent health scare, followed by a lovely break away, it’s been so good to get back to doing what I love, and what a day it’s been! 🐾❤️

I’m also sporting a new look as the very proud owner of a pair of spectacles 🤓😂 something I never imagined I’d be saying, but I’m actually rather enjoying my new accessory!

Today I got to welcome back some of my beautiful regular faces, including our lovely Barley ❤️. After being off recovering from surgery, it was SO good to see him back out enjoying himself. He slotted straight back into the group as though he’d never been away, and it honestly made my heart so happy 🥹🐶

Then it was off to see Sully, where we finally managed to get out for a proper walk after such a long spell of hot weather ☀️🌡️. It felt so good to be back out on our travels again!

And of course, there was Blakey the Malamute, followed by Ben & Barbie the Bernese, plenty of beautiful faces, waggy tails and muddy paws to make my first day back complete 🐕‍🦺❤️

And to finish the day, I had my hospital appointment, and I’m absolutely delighted to be able to share some GOOD NEWS 🥹❤️

I’m now officially under monitoring, and I don’t need to go back for another whole year! 🎉🥹 What a relief and such a lovely way to round off an already wonderful day.

I came home from holiday feeling inspired and determined to make some positive changes, and today has reminded me exactly why I love the life I’ve built for myself. ❤️

Happy dogs, beautiful clients, a new pair of specs and good health news… I’d say that’s a pretty bloody brilliant first day back! 🐾🤓🥹❤️

🥂 Five Years of Pet Set Go with Lucy

Today marks 5 whole years of Pet Set Go 🐾🥂 five years of building something that started as a little dream and somehow became a huge part of my life.

And where better to celebrate than sipping wine in the sunshine, overlooking the sea, on the beautiful island of Lanzarote. 🌊🍷☀️

I’ve been thinking about everyone back home today too… especially knowing it’s been absolutely hammering it down with rain 🌧️ And honestly, looking out at this view, I’m not sure Pet Set Go would’ve made it to its 6th birthday if I’d stayed there! 😅

Jokes aside, I feel incredibly grateful. I’ve worked bloody hard for this life. I’ve built my business from the ground up, created my own success, and made a life that I’m genuinely proud of completely self-made, on my own terms. ❤️

There have been stressful days, long days, doubts, setbacks and plenty of moments where I wondered if I was doing the right thing. But five years on, I can sit here with a glass of wine, look at everything I’ve built and honestly say…

I have a great life. 🥂

To my amazing clients, the dogs who have become such a huge part of my world, and everyone who has supported Pet Set Go along the way, thank you. You’ve helped make this little business what it is today, and I’ll never take that for granted. 🐾❤️

Here’s to 5 years, to everything I’ve achieved, and to whatever comes next.

🐾❤️ Happy International Dog Day ❤️🐾

Today is a little celebration of all the dogs who have filled my life with love, laughter, muddy paws, wagging tails and memories that I will treasure forever. 🐶✨

I feel incredibly lucky to have the dogs I have around me today, each one completely different, each one with their own little personality, and each one holding a very special place in my heart. They make the early mornings, muddy walks, training sessions and sometimes chaotic days so very worth it. 🤎

But today also makes me think about the dogs who came before them. The ones who taught me about love, loyalty, companionship and just how deeply a dog can become part of your heart.

And especially Ethel. 🥹❤️

My heart dog. My once-in-a-lifetime dog. The one who will always have a little piece of my heart that belongs only to her. No matter how many dogs I meet, love and share my life with, there will never be another Ethel. Some dogs leave paw prints on your life… and some leave them right on your soul. 🐾

I will forever be grateful for every dog I have loved, every dog I love now, and every dog who has shaped the person I am today.

Happy International Dog Day to every dog, past and present, especially the ones who made us who we are. ❤️🐾

Holiday Notice 🌴☀️

Hi everyone! Just a little reminder that I’m now officially on holiday and will be taking some much-needed time completely away from work. 🥰

I’d really appreciate it if clients could respectfully refrain from contacting me via my personal phone, Facebook, Messenger or any other personal channels whilst I’m away.

My work phone will be staying safely at home in the UK, so I won’t be checking messages or dealing with work whilst I’m away. 📵✈️

I’ll be back and back to work from 1st September, and I’ll pick up all messages and enquiries when I return, once I’ve had a chance to properly rest and recharge.

Good evening all, so after 4 days of intense hospital investigations, scans, CT, MRI, blood test, eye scan, eye test, dilating drops, ultrasounds, optic nerve exams, specialist consultations, brain scans, brain imaging, eye imaging, ophthalmology exams, the lot. I’ve been given the all clear that my brain is tumour, fluid and blood clot free and given go ahead to go on holiday on Monday! 🥹🙏🏽 this past 4 days I have genuinely been to hell and back, I’ve seen the back of my own eyeballs and my own brain more times than I care to mention 😖 One thing I will say is our NHS is absolutely incredible!

Never ever take your health for granted. This week has changed how I view life entirely. I need to touch some serious grass this weekend 💚 I’m alive, I’m going to be monitored and I’ve lived to tell the tale. What a week. And thank god for NHS 👏🏽

As you can well imagine Pet Set Go is now closed until Tuesday the 1st of September while I take part in some much needed down time 🙏🏽 I sincerely hope you will all still be with me from September, as I attempt to move forward from what has been a disastrous August 🫣

I’ll look forward to seeing and hearing from you all on my return! But it’s bye for now from me until September 🧡 thank you again everyone for your kindness and understanding this week. I hope I never have to call in sick again! See you soon! Lucy 🐾😊

Good evening all 👋🏽

Next weeks schedule is complete and all confirmation texts have been sent 📲 as well as remaining availability 🐾

I’m now signing off until Monday for a well earned rest this weekend 🙏🏽 although we all know I definitely will not rest. I’m sure I’ll find plenty of things to keep myself busy with 😅

I’d just like to personally thank all of my regular clients this week for rescheduling their regular slots to work around the weather 🙏🏽 & a special thanks to those who haven’t had their usual regular slots this week but have still paid 🥹🙏🏽 this past 2 months or so has been so rubbish financially when it comes to wages because of the hot weather but without going into too much detail I am unbelievably grateful 🙏🏽

Have a great weekend everyone and I’ll be back on Monday as normal with full intentions of working a normal week 🐾🙏🏽
