🏆TEAM TRIALS ANNOUNCEMENT🏆
Fancy competing for Chester this season? Here’s everything you need to know!
We have lots to offer, with three teams competing across three different levels. Competition experience is not a requirement! The development leagues run as friendly competitions against other universities to build confidence and skill.
Have competition experience and want to push yourself further? We also compete at BUCS level, where you can ride at a more competitive level and maybe even progress to regionals and nationals!
Some things to note before trialling:
✨You don’t have to have competition gear just yet! Hats are available at the riding school for you to wear. Just come dressed to ride as best as you can- competitive gear not required on the day.
✨There is a weight limit at the riding school that we train at- this is 13 stone and is non negotiable. The riding school set these rules based on the weight their horses can carry safely.
✨Trials take place at different times on both days! Take a look at which day you are trialling on and remember what time you need to be at the minibusses by! You only need to trial on one day!!
Most importantly, this is a great opportunity to meet teammates, coaches and the horses you will be training on throughout the year. Trials are always a fun, low stress environment and are a way of building up confidence. If you do not make it onto a team, lesson groups are available as we do have a slot booked at the riding school. Lessons are a fabulous way of building up the skills you need to trial again next year!
