I am a dog owner (and cat!) and understand how hard it can be for working families to own a dog.

For the Chester area...Muddy Paws takes dogs on walkies, dog days out and feeds cats/small pets The guilt of leaving them 'home alone' can put many people off dog ownership, but a caring dog walker can be the answer to any problems....as well as protecting your sofa from a bored, frustrated pooch pal!! Muddy Paws can help with walkies plus furry friends on the local parks, canal towpaths and cycle-ways nearby....as well as our own Muddy Paws paddock in Great Barrow. We also visit forests and beaches when time allows. As a dog owner of a rescued (Dog's Trust) crossbreed Toffee from a small pup, I have hands on experience of dog ownership. The ways they have...early training, barking at the door knocking, chasing cats (or scared of cat's if it's Toffee!), sniffing dubious substances during walks and finding EVERY muddy puddle...these are all dog characteristics that I am well used to. I carry a doggy First Aid kit on all walks. Walks will be tailored to individual preferences. I am fully CRB checked (police records check). I hold liability insurance that will protect owners, the public and your dog during walkies. I am a member of NARPSUk (National Association of Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers) and abide by their approved Code of Practice. I am more than happy to feed cats and other small animals in the home over holidays. I have always found my own cats happier in the home during my own holidays and, as long as someone comes in to feed, clean litter trays, play and cuddle, your absence need not be too stressful for them, and other small pets like rabbits, guinea pigs, fish (no cuddling though!) and hamsters.

Friday walkies & CatClub…

Ollie was waiting for me this morning…sorry Olls, was I three minutes late? 😂…and then Rumpy & Shinko were clock watching too…but all three got their breakfasts eventually ✔️

On to Paddock hour…Sky just runs circles in a looney manner 🫤. Dave tries to catch her (but gives up quick as she’s FAST 💨), Marley only intervenes when she nicks his ball…and even then he just looks confused by her 😂) and Amber tries her best to ignore her, but gets out the way when she’s incoming 🙈 When do they start to calm down?…asking for a friend? 😬

Final walkies of the week was our super chilled Caldy Valley stroll with Freddy 🐌 and Fern 🐑 Soggy underpaw, but we missed the big fat rain, and were just dripped upon by the trees 😂…quite refreshing really💦🤣

Back at Rumpy & Shinko’s…and we got the Purrrfect Pillows out 😺…yum!

Thursday walkies & CatClub…

After breakfasting with Rumpy & Shinko 🐈 🐈‍⬛, it was TERRIBLE timing at Westminster Park…arriving at the same time as the PetMates crew 😆 Lots of barking (them not us weirdly! 😇)…but 10 dogs managed to mingle, then move on with no incident 😅

The rain arrived while we Paddock’ed 🌧️ Not enough to stop the usual suspects doing the usual activities though 🎾 🪏 🏃 🍬…we carried on Paddock’ing, and got a bit wet 💦 🤷🏼‍♀️

And Caldy Valley was damp too…a carpet of leaves on the ground…very VERY autumnal 🍁…lovely 🧡 Wilson had stayed at HQ watching random sport with Sky and MrMP…so it was just me, Ange and Chlo…no one went in the stream 🙌…just literally Muddy Paws this time 🐾

Cat Club had added Ollie 🐱 at teatime…and then it was home to watch The Traitors 🙌

Wednesday walkies & CatClub…

A beautiful Autumn day…but all Rumpy & Shinko wanted was their breakfast 😂…I got it down QUICK!!! 🤣

Then out into the world with the crew…and a morning runaround, lose the ball, find the ball, lose it again sesh 😄 Happy to report that after last weeks dramarama, Dizzy is fine 🙌 A little sore possibly, the paw held up sporadically…(or was that just to get a treat 🤔)…but well on the mend ❤️‍🩹

Paddock time 🙌…and when you have 2 crazy Labs, 1 unhinged Rommie Lab/Shepherd thing, a slightly ball obsessed Spaniel and 2 Cockerpoo’s (no explanation required)…it’s all a bit chaotic…in a good way 😆

And ‘deja vous’ for Foo as we were back to Hoole Park, but different play mates ☺️…Fern ignored her for the ball, Bruce did too for non-MP dog greets 😂 Foo didn’t mind…as long as there were treats, she was happy 😊

Back to Rumpy & Shinko’s for tea…and two sachets of Felix lasted around 12.7 seconds 😂

Tuesday walkies & CatClub…

Tuesday started, as it will all week, at Rumpy 🐈 & Shinko’s 🐈‍⬛…breakfast was eagerly awaited!

Then, sparse photos due to one of the two on-leaders being an idiot (and it wasn’t Ellie 🤔)…a blustery and busy (hence idiot dog 🙄) Etna Park. I was dragged round…extra lead training required methinks 🙈

Busy Tuesdays = Paddock time…where Freddie & Rosie were delighted to see that the tennis ball bag had been refilled 🎾, and everyone else mooched, rolled, sniffed and scratched (allergy Dave 🙈) to their heart’s content 😌

And back again with the afternoon gang…Rommie zoomies and pro treat begging were the main activities ✔️

Over at R&S’s…Rumpy’s tablet is hidden in goats cheese…and Shinko can’t possibly miss out on a goats cheese Scooby snack too 😂

Weekend Cat Club…

This weekend was filled with Hamish, Lady, Rumpy & Shinko visits…and the added delight of Rumpy & Shinko’s dog housemate Charlie 😍…who we saw at breakfast before he was picked up to go to his holiday home ☺️…Charlie and me made friends over a duck chew 🤷🏼‍♀️

Friday walkies & CatClub…

Feels like proper Autumn now 🍂…leaves are falling, wellies on daily, was there even a heatwave just a few weeks ago? 😂

Lady and then Hamish had breakfast. Hamish is Angel Purdey’s ‘brother from another mother’ ☺️, and he’s a proper cuddle monster, as is Lady…so it was as a purry morning for me 😻😻

Then, Amber, Marley & Dave hit the Paddock for a good snuffle in the wet grass. Dogs love wet grass 🫤…I’m not so keen 😂, but we barked at the bin truck too…so everyone was happy 😬 (WHY…don’t they let you get past?!!! 😤…SO ANNOYING!! 🚮)

This week’s slow trek with Freddy was at a blustery Hoole Park 🌬️ Fern chased balls that went even further in the wind…which was good exercise while waiting for Fred ☺️, while he sniffed along the footy pitch white lines in his own time 😊…a very tranquil last walk of the week…just how we like it 🥰

Back to Lady and then Hamish’s for tea…more purring 😻…and it was the weekend!!! 🙌 Have a good one everyone ###

Thursday walkies & CatClub…

A traumatic start to Thursday 🥺

After breakfast with Lady, then P**i 🐈 🐈‍⬛…it was the ‘normal’ Thursday start with Sky, Wilson, Ellie, Pedro, Frida and Dizzy…but poor Dizzy managed to get her claw/paw pad stuck in the crate ‘wire’ as she got in…and all hell let loose 😱

Loud crying, me trying to free her as she pulled it the wrong way making it worse 😭, Frida below barking her head off…it was around 10 seconds that felt like an hour…and as I tried to free it all, she was trying to bite me to GEROFF!!! 😩

Eventually I managed to push it out though…but it was all bleeding 😢…oh God…just a nightmare 😭

Anyway…straight off to the vet with her hoomans instead of walkies ✔️ Dizzy has pulled a nail completely out 😖…but is bandaged up, putting weight on it, and will be fine 🙃…she’s even dug up the garden in her bandage 😆…so is already feeling better ☺️

I’m off to lie in a darkened room with a cuddle blanket 😩…here’s today’s pics…tomorrow will be better 🥴…I hope 😵‍💫

Wednesday walkies & Cat Club…

A recent tragic incident at Dukes Drive whereby an ON LEAD large dog has had a small OFF LEAD dog run up to it, and injured it enough for it to pass away a few days later, has really got to me 😕

It SO highlights the consequences that can (albeit rare) occur and I feel desperately sad for both dog owners involved here 😞

But it has highlighted how things can quickly escalate with dogs…and validates why I use our private, safe, no other people/dogs Paddock so often 👍

The MP crew are, of course 😬, perfect in every way!!…but (mentioning no names 😂) we do have some ‘runners up to other dog’ specialists, ‘selective hearing’ experts and general ‘I’ll do what I want’ers in the gang 😆…and not to mention the non MP doggos out there who…ahem…could use some training (and their owners 😬)

So this awful incident has been a reminder on how challenging walking dogs can be 😔

Thankfully, in the nearly 13 years of MP life…nothing so terrifying has ever happened…but this incident got to me today…apols for the monologue 😂

Tuesdays are the busiest day at MP…so, with some extras in too, we just kept things as simple as possible…cats, Cliff 🚐 , dogs, Paddock, play, treats…nice and easy 😂
