This boys new (sort of) owners needed some help, desperately!

He had been rehomed from a family member and he came with a list of areas that needed improvement 🀣

From barking at dogs, pulling and lunging on the lead, zero recall and his manners at home! He appeared to be quite the project , leaving his onwers feeling abit overwhelmed.

Starting with the basics and then working our way up, after a couple of sessions the improvement from him is light and day!

Well done to him and his new owners πŸ‘

These two had some combined issues, and some each of there own!

There was tension in the house betweenthe two dogs, which could sometimes lead to conflict, this was our starting point. With a new plan and structure in place, it was time to work on their individual behaviours.

From barking at visitors coming to the home, pulling on the lead and barking at dogs and people outside of the house, it was a very busy session for everyone. However by the end of it, thier owners were able to see a way forward, with a calmer and more enjoyable life for everyone πŸ˜€

Oh my goodness....

She might be small, but she certainly has some sass!

Her onwers reached out through a recommendation, as they wanted to make the right start with her and address some problem behaviours before they became more of an issue.

We covered everything right from the beginning, worked on the problem behaviours, a structured plan for her next steps. Busy session for her, she was falling asleep as I left 😴

While I was there I was also able to give her onwers some advice on their other dog, as he also needed some help in certain areas.

Both dogs have plenty of homework, as do their onwers 😁

Double Dashund trouble πŸ˜‚

These two were certainly testing their owners, one was good in the house and problematic outside, and the other was the exact opposite!

Their owners reached out needing some help on how to find a happy balance in the middle.

On there session we worked on structure around when visitors arrive, lead walking, introducing them to my dogs as well as ignoring other distractions.

Both of them were knackered by the end with lots to think about and their owners now have a plan moving forward πŸ˜€

Time to pull my finger out with the social media side of things 🀣

Even though the page has been quiet lately, its been non stop with lessons!

Rescue Kennel visits, behaviour assessments, and all of my own sessions!
Everything from 8 week old puppies for basic foundations to dogs that sadly are on their last chance to turn their behaviour around before its too late!

These two had some issues on how to get along with each other correctly, not being able to read each others signs was causing some friction for both the dogs and owners.

With some structure, time and a clearer understanding, this is the final result πŸ‘Œ

They each now have a new best mate!

I am glad to be back to normality!

First of all George is doing well, after his surgery πŸ‘

Boden sadly had to restart his medication for his PIMA, however after lots of research and some advice of professionals in this field, we have a few aces up our sleeves. Buy he's still doing well in himself ✊️

Back to lessons as usual, lots of new faces this week, and some familiar faces also 😊

The much awaited classes will be starting soon, so keep your eyes on the page. Spaces will be limited per class, and to start they will be only available to existing clients.

Three behaviour assignments carried out for a new charity,I have agreed to be their new behaviourist, aswell as another assessment carried out for a previous rescue, all free of charge to give these dogs the best chance of finding new homes, and a kennel visit booked in for Saturday!

Spaces are filling up quickly until the end of the year, as everywhere I go we are reminded its not long until Christmas!

And after our disaster of a holiday, I will be taking some time of over the festive period, to see if we can have a getaway, that doesn't involve life saving surgery πŸ˜† 😳

After a very long drive, we finally made it back to wet Wales!

Lots of you have been asking how George is and what happened to him, he had a gastric torsion, this is where his stomach twists on its self and starts cutting blood off to other parts of the body, the scariest part in all of it was it happened completely out of no where!
No exercise involved, he wasn't hot, hadn't drank too much to quickly, just incredibly bad luck.
With the vets happy with the surgery, and his post operation suit arrived, we were able to take the dogs for a short lead walk on the beach, I think my face says it all at this point 🀣
Think we are all more tired than before we went away, feel like I need a week off, sat in a dark room, to recover from the 'holiday'.

I am very much looking forward to getting back to work now, and the dairy is now open again!

Not the best picture, but hes back!

Thank you for all the kind messages, means alot πŸ˜ƒ

George is very lucky to still be here, and the vet hospital over in France did an amazing job
Hes very sore, tired and high as a kite.

We met the Belgian Malinois called Ursula who donated blood for his transfusion, we will be getting her some presents to say thank you!

We have a follow up on Tuesday to see how hes getting on and see what our next steps are and when he will be safe to travel back to the UK.

Sometimes we need to remind ourselves, even when it seems bad, it could always worse.

Will keep you all posted! ❀️

A not so relaxing holiday....

As lots of you are aware, we are currently away in France, with the dogs for a break.
However like most things in life, they never seem to go as planned!

Each day there seems to have been a new challenge, but sadly we were dealt a big one.

Sadly we had to rush George the Pointer, to an out of hours emergency hospital, where he underwent urgent, life saving surgery 😒

The operation seemed to have been a success, but hes not out of the woods yet. We are not sure yet when we will be able to pick him up, or when we will be able to travel home. I have a long list of people to reply to and book sessions for, but as I'm sure you can understand, George has taken priority.

I am well and truly ready to come home now

Once again I have been poor at keeping you all updated on social media, think I'm in holiday mode! πŸ˜†

This lesson moved me, a VETERAN who's been on the list for a service dog for years, who was sadly told it wasn't going to happen 😠
So he decided to get his own dog and go from there, he needed some help in a couple of areas with general behaviour, and I was able to point him in the direction with some help from myself, how we can get her credited as a full service dog!

Without going in to how the Uk is right now, I find it very upsetting, how someone who has giving everything to his country, sadly gets nothing back! 😒
I said to him his session, any any following ones were on me, for his service to us all, but he insisted on paying, and I wasn't going to argue with him.
Any veteran is always welcome here, and will do what I can to help any of you πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§
