🔔 New Website 🔔

This has been a long time coming, a lot of you have asked us to update the old website or have said you’d had issues gaining access at all. That was mainly down to us working on a new site in the background.

This new website feels fresh and up to date. We will have up to date livestock lists, shop updates & in time, fingers crossed, and online store for those of you that live just that bit too far away to visit in person.

🚨 Red Eye Crocodile Skinks 🚨

We’ve just had 4 baby Red Eye Crocodile Skinks brought in from one of our approved breeders.

They are most active during dawn and dusk when they would be feeding on a variety of insects. The name refers to their spiny appearance, much like a miniature crocodile! Our Red eye skinks also have an orange-red ring around their eyes. These skinks can be handled in moderation, though they are fast runners and can be a challenge.

Crocodile skinks can be an elusive pet, due to their natural crepuscular lifestyle and camouflage against earthy substrates. They are capable of swimming and climbing, however, and can be keen hunters of live food so you won’t be missing out when it comes to watching your pet.

Baby Leachianus Gecko’s available in store now.

The Leachianus gecko is an arboreal gecko endemic to New Caledonia, where they inhabit forest habitats. These arboreal geckos are in fact the largest species of gecko in the world. They tend to be a mix of greens, browns and grey in colour. This heavy-bodied gecko has loose, delicate skin so handling although possible should be kept to a minimum to avoid unnecessary stress and skin damage.

😂😂 Apparently we’re closing down… someone better tell the team, because we’re all still here and haven’t had time to sit down long enough to hear the news! 🤣

As for the shelves, we’d love to keep every single customer’s favourite fish in stock 24/7, but unfortunately fish don’t come with an Amazon Prime delivery option & our older, still very much loved, system has needed some time to get itself back on track. 🐠📦😂

We’re still very much open, still busy, and still doing what we’ve done for years! 💪

Marbled Salamanders available now:

Part of the amphibian group commonly known as the mole salamanders. This species is both fascinating and easy to keep and house.

• Size & Lifespan: Grows to 3.5 to 5 inches long; lives about 8 to 15 years in captivity.

• Enclosure: Minimum 20-gallon terrarium (24” L x 18” W x 12” H) for a single adult. Do not cohabitate them.

• Temperature: Keep cool between 18c and 24c (must stay below 30c)🌡️

• Humidity: Maintain 50% to 80% humidity by misting and keeping the substrate damp. 💦

• Substrate: Use 3 to 4 inches of damp, soil-based substrate like coconut fiber (Eco Earth), ReptiSoil, or Plantation Soil, plus sphagnum moss and cork bark hides. Include a shallow water dish with dechlorinated water. 🌳

• Diet: Feed 2 times a week with appropriately sized live insects and worms (such as crickets, earthworms, dubia roach nymphs, and silkworms) dusted with a calcium/vitamin supplement. 🐛

• Handling: Avoid handling them; their skin is very sensitive to oils and toxins. If you must move them, use nitrile gloves or a soft container. 🧤
