🐶❤️ Every girl needs her best friend… especially at the vets! 🐱🐾

Meet the lovely Zoe, who popped into NorthPaw with a very important job to do… emotional support for her feline sister, Muffin! 🥹💕

Muffin was the one visiting the vet, but Zoe wasn’t about to let her sister face it alone! 🥰

We absolutely love seeing the special friendships between pets, especially when they’re different species. ❤️

And let’s be honest, having your bestie by your side makes everything a little less scary! 🐶🐱

Well done, Zoe! We think you’ve earned yourself the title of NorthPaw’s cutest emotional support buddy! 😂🐾

💙 A little update from the NorthPaw team 🐾

We wanted to let our lovely clients know that Martin will be taking some time away from the practice over the coming weeks for hospital treatment.

We know how much Martin means to many of you, and we wanted to keep you informed. ❤️ We’ll be missing him at NorthPaw, and we’re sure many of you will be sending him your best wishes.

But please don’t worry — NorthPaw will be continuing to operate as normal! 🐾

We have veterinary cover arranged while Martin is away, so there will be no break in our service, and you’ll still be able to bring your pets to us for the care they need.

Our priority remains exactly the same: looking after your pets and supporting you, whatever their needs.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support, kindness and understanding. It means so much to our little independent practice. 💙

And if you see Martin before he heads off, feel free to send him some positive thoughts for the weeks ahead. ❤️

🇯🇲🐾 Winston’s post-op check… with a touch of Jamaican style! 😎❤️

Winston popped back in to see Martin today for his post-op check after having a lump removed last week.

And just look at the outfit he turned up in! 😂🇯🇲 That’s one very snazzy T-shirt!

Not only does he look the part, but his T-shirt has also done a brilliant job of stopping him from licking and scratching his wound while it healed. 🙌🐶

The best news? Martin has given Winston the all-clear! 🥳 His wound has healed beautifully, and he’s officially signed off.

Well done, Winston! ❤️ Now you can get back to enjoying life in style. 😎🐾

🐶💙 Meet Oscar… our very own little wiggle bum! 😂🐾

Oscar popped in to see us for his second vaccination, but trying to get a photo was a whole different challenge! 📸🤣

Someone was just FAR too busy wiggling, exploring and generally being adorable to sit still for two seconds! 🥰

Luckily, we did manage to capture a little video of his super-waggy tail in action… and honestly, it deserves a post of its own! 😂❤️

The exciting news? Just one more week until Oscar can head out on his adventures! 🌳🐾

Lola’s story 🐾

Sometimes they just need a little help… ❤️

This is Lola, a gorgeous Boston Terrier who needed a helping hand when it was time for her to have her babies.

Lola had been trying so hard to give birth, but she was becoming exhausted and it was clear that she needed some help.

So, late one evening, the NorthPaw team sprang into action and Lola was taken in for an emergency C-section. 🩺🐾

And then came the moment we were all waiting for… ❤️

Lola delivered a beautiful, lively little girl who was ready to take on the world! 🥹🐶

Thankfully, this little girl has gone on to thrive, and Lola got the help she needed when she needed it most.

From an exhausted mum to a happy, healthy puppy… one very special NorthPaw story. ❤️🐾

Well done, Lola. You were one very brave girl. 🥰

How ridiculously cute is this little one who popped in to see us recently? 😍

Those little paws resting on the desk. 🥹

And that face just screams “I’m in charge here.” 😂

We’re pretty sure this little one was very happy to be in the middle of everything and, judging by this photo, may have been considering applying for a job at NorthPaw! 🐾😂

We think you’d make a very good receptionist… although we’re not sure how good you’d be at answering the phone! 📞🐶🤣

This morning another lovely client arrived with doughnuts for the team. 🥰

And whilst we absolutely appreciate being fed… we’re starting to have concerns about Martin’s waistline. 😂

Happy World Animal Day! ❤️

Today is all about celebrating animals — the ones who make us laugh, keep us company, occasionally drive us mad, and somehow manage to become such a huge part of our families. 🐶🐱❤️

At NorthPaw, we get to meet so many wonderful characters every week, and we’re very lucky that looking after them is what we get to do every day.

This year’s theme is:

“See the World Through Their Eyes” 👀🐾

And perhaps that’s a lovely reminder to stop and think about things from their point of view.

A trip to the vets might be a little scary.
A new person might need some time to be trusted.
A sore leg might make a walk much harder.
And sometimes all they really want is a little reassurance from their favourite human. ❤️

They might not speak our language, but they’re constantly communicating with us.

So today, let’s celebrate them, listen to them, understand them — and give them an extra cuddle for good measure. 🥰🐾
