After a thorough sniff of Jenny’s hand, Lady decided to conduct her own investigation to see whether there were any snacks available. We’re pleased to report that her detective work was successful. 🐶❤️

It’s little moments like these that make our day and remind us that a trip to the vets doesn’t always have to be stressful.

As many of you know, NorthPaw Vets is currently run by a small but dedicated team of just two people – Martin and Jenny. 🐾❤️

While we’re busy caring for patients, consulting with owners, carrying out procedures and nursing our inpatients, there may be times when we’re unable to answer the landline straight away.

If your enquiry is non-urgent, we would be very grateful if you could send us a WhatsApp message instead. This allows us to respond as soon as we’re free and helps us ensure we’re giving our full attention to the pets in our care.

🐶 Puppy Owners – We’d Love Your Thoughts! 🐶

We’re exploring the possibility of running puppy socialisation classes here at NorthPaw Vets in partnership with a local dog behaviourist.

The classes would be designed to help puppies build confidence, learn appropriate social skills, experience new sights and sounds, and give owners helpful advice during those important early months.

Before we make any plans, we’d love to know what you think!

One of the things we’re most excited about as a new independent business is getting to know and support other local businesses in our community.

Recently, we had the pleasure of meeting Becca, the founder of Penshaw Paws. Becca has turned her passion for dogs into her very own dog walking and pet care business, and we think that’s something worth celebrating! 👏

Starting a business takes courage, dedication and plenty of hard work, so it’s fantastic to see young people pursuing their ambitions and providing valuable services for local pet owners.
