Road Salt!

Salt can definitely be harmful to a dog's paws. While it may be effective at melting ice and snow, the rough crystals can be painful and even cut into a dog's paw pads.

Additionally, prolonged or repeated exposure to salt can cause dryness, cracking, and even burns on a dog's paws.

So, while salt can be helpful in some ways, it's important to be mindful of its potential impact on your dog's paws.

It's a good idea to rinse your dog's paws with warm water after they've been exposed to salt, and to monitor them for any signs of irritation or discomfort.

From 1st February 2024 it will be illegal in the UK to have an XL Bully type breed dog in public without a muzzle.

With such a broad criteria of "XL Bully types" defined by the legislation, many thousands of dogs will end up affected by this rule. Having seen a few bully type breeds in the Chepstow area, I can I help you to practively prepare for the new sanctions, providing guidance and advice on how to best muzzle train your dogs (its actually great practice to have any dog breed muzzle trained, just in case!), ensuring you head into the new year with confidence.

Dont hesitate to message to get booked in.

This is not only applicable to cars, the same method can be used for many fear based reaction triggers.

Start slow, stay within threshold and make it fun 🐾
