Got a new puppy joining the family? Our next Puppy Training Courses are now available to book! 🎉

Our puppy classes are designed to help you build strong foundations from the very beginning, with practical training for real life – all taught using kind, reward-based methods.

Course 1

Over the course we’ll work on all those important puppy foundations, including:

TRACKING VS SCENT DETECTION
Two different puzzles. One amazing nose!

🐾 Tracking: “Which way did they go?”
Your dog follows a trail left by someone walking through an area, using their nose to work out the route.

🔎 Scent detection: “Where is that smell?”
Your dog searches for a particular scent and shows you where it’s hidden—in a room, around a vehicle or among objects.

Both give your dog opportunities to:
✅ Put their brain to work
✅ Build confidence through achievable challenges
✅ Enjoy an outlet for their natural sniffing skills
✅ Have fun with you!

You don’t need a working breed or lots of training experience. Activities can be adapted for different ages and abilities—and you can get started on a lead or long line.

Does your dog come back… only when there’s nothing better going on? 👀🐾

You’re not alone. Recall is one of the most common struggles we see, and it’s rarely as simple as your dog being “stubborn”.

Other dogs, interesting smells and places to explore can all make coming back a difficult choice—especially when your dog is still learning.

And if being called back always means the lead goes on and the fun stops, there’s even less reason to hurry!

So, what can you do?

🐾 Reward the return. Use food, toys or play that your dog really enjoys—even if they took a little longer than you hoped.

🐾 Keep the fun going. Sometimes call them back, reward them, then let them return to sniffing or exploring.

🐾 Start with easier distractions. Build success before asking your dog to come away from the most exciting thing in the park.

🐾 Be part of the walk. Make time to play and interact, alongside opportunities for your dog to sniff.

🐾 Use a long line attached to a well-fitting harness while you practise, to help prevent running off becoming a habit.

🐾 RECALL WORKSHOP GRADUATES! 🎓

A huge well done to Clover, Gertie & Nala for completing our Recall Workshop! 👏🐶

Recall is one of those skills that can make such a difference to everyday life — giving our dogs more freedom while giving us greater confidence when we’re out and about together.

Our brilliant trio worked on building a recall that dogs want to respond to, using positive reinforcement, engagement and plenty of practice. ❤️

And, of course, everyone went home with their well-earned certificate! 🏆
