Beautiful Blu has been receiving treatment with us recently after his owners noticed he was licking at his paw. The vet decided to sedate Blu for investigations and they found a grass seed underneath his skin😯. Whilst under sedation the nurses clipped the fur from his feet to prevent any further issues which is where they found another grass seed hiding in the skin which was safely removed. After bandaging both his wounds Blu was ready to go home but not before posing for photos!
We have unfortunately had a large number of grass seeds this summer so please be careful when out walking your pets. To help prevent these injuries you can thoroughly check your dogs' paws after walks and keep the fur cut short to help you spot any unwanted nasty surprises.
If you are concerned your pet needs to be seen please contact us on 01242 522429🐾
