✨Newbie Alert ✨

A big welcome to brothers Murphy and Rudy 👋🏼 Their owner got in contact for help with loose lead walking, recall, general obedience and some frustrated greeting behaviour towards other dogs! They had their initial consultation today and we will get cracking with their training programmes ready for their training walks next week!

✨Newbie Alert ✨

Introducing the lovely collie, Fable 📜 Her owner got in contact for help with some resource guarding behaviour at home. We had her initial consult today to really delve deep into her behaviour and potential underlying causes 🤓

She's booked into the vets for a pain assessment to identify if underlying pain could be a factor. As we know, pain has a significant impact on dog behaviour and not always in the way we think which is why it is vital to have a thorough assessment to explore pain further!

Sydney having a well earned rest on his cool after our final training session today. We kept our session indoors helping with teaching him a send away cue, how to stop jumping up to the coffee table and general puppy behaviour.

We hope everyone is keeping cool in the heat and has a lovely weekend ✌🏼

We had our first practical session with Albe earlier this week. We did lots of training inside to keep cool, we started with the basics and discussed the importance of enrichment, resource guarding prevention and separation anxiety prevention for puppies as well as everything else puppy related! Being a first time dog owner, Albe's owner had lots of questions as she's found information online so conflicting which to be honest, we hear a lot!

We're always on hand to provide information that is up to date with scientific research and positive reinforcement based. In an industry that is ever changing we always try to keep reading and learning about new research into dog behaviour and how's best to help owners and their dogs 🙌🏼

We had our final check in session with the lovely little Fergus today. His owner originally got in contact for help with reactivity towards cyclists, scooters, men in hi vis and other general novel stimuli.

Fergus was 7 months old at the time so the influx of new hormones were playing havoc with his emotional response to these "unusual" things! So, we worked hard on building a more positive response and boosting his confidence. His owner worked really hard with him and he's now completely unbothered with all of the above! He's a bright boy and loves to learn so training was a breeze for his owner!

As your puppy suddenly becomes fearful of novel things on walks? Are you feeling at a loss of what to do? Feel free to drop me a message and I'd be happy to help support you and your pup!

I've been very quiet on social media lately, life is extremely busy with new clients and selling my house but here's a little post to say I'm still here, working hard behind the scenes helping clients and their dogs 👋🏼

I find posting regularly on social media tricky, I'm an all or nothing kinda gal, hence why I either post religiously or not at all - I'm working on it! 😅

Anyway, here's Dolly, she's a lovely girl who's been struggling with runners and cyclists more recently. I met her today for her initial consultation to get to the root cause of her anxiety! Stay tuned for her progress!

Great afternoon out for .prestige.awards at Ashton Gate for winning Dog Training Company of the Year 2025/2026 for the second year in a row! 🥂🤯

Feeling very privileged to be recognised for my hard work growing my little business! I'd like to thank all of my lovely clients for their continued support and to my partner, family, friends and colleagues who help get me through and boost me up when needed 🫶🏼

I've been very quiet on socials this week following my operation. Recovery feels like it's taking FOREVER! But I am following doctors advice and trying to rest as much as possible so my incisions can heal 🩹🏥

Prior to my op, I caught up with Banjo and his owner who have been working on his cooperative care grooming plan to help get him groomed and feeling more comfortable. I was genuinely blown away with how good he looks! His owner has worked so hard with Banjo and grooming and the results speak for themselves! Swipe for a before where Banjo would do his best to avoid being groomed 👉🏼

Banjo had a long history of aggression and anxiety at the groomers, he required a muzzle and medication to help keep him safe, however, he still really struggled and often, his groomer couldn't finish his grooms because he was so stressed. His owner made the decision to not use a groomer going forward as the whole process made Banjo much more stressed. Instead we implemented a cooperative grooming programme which focuses on building trust and giving Banjo the option to stop if he wants to. His plan was implemented over a few months and his owner built up his trust again at home and did his research into how to best groom Banjo's poodle coat and he now can successfully groom him at home without a muzzle and without medication 🥳

Very well done guys, hard work pays off! Banjo still has some other behaviour problems to work on so I will be seeing more of him but I just wanted to shout him and his owner out for their progress so far!

An early finish today to beat the heat with the pups but here's what we got up to this morning! We had Gunners training walk, Nikos vet session and Mila's mix with the help of Dottie.

All did very well, particularly Mila who is a very reactive frustrated greeter. She was able to greet and go for a walk with Dottie with minimal reactivity. She still has good days and bad but she's doing very well!
