Orla has been really good, learning to accept her harness - she sometimes just goes to sleep in it, so it's time to try her with the leash as well. Rufus supervising as always.😻

Just 2 of the gorgeous cats we've had the great pleasure to look after last week. It was a busy week for us, but gave us a great deal of satisfaction. When cats are this relaxed, just being in their own home and being cared for by us while their human family are away, it makes us as happy as they appear to be.🙂🙂

What do you mean? Mum's not going to be cross with me sleeping in the ironing basket, on the dining table. All hoomans love their clothes having a little bit of cat fluff on them.😻😼

Well, we feel we've been incredibly lucky to have been so busy the past few weeks that we've hardly had time to post. The next 2 weeks are looking especially busy for us too, so I thought I would grab this quit time to post some photos of the gorgeous cats which we have had so much pleasure in caring for recently.
Here we have the lovely Tolly, 19 years young, almost blind but an absolute darling.
Fig and Freddie keeping occupied with their puzzle treat feeders.
Beautiful Brenda waiting patiently for her meds, and the elusive Yoda - as soon as he hears us enter, he exits via the cat flap. Always comes back and eats before our next visit though.😻😼

Well, Orla has been with us just over 2 weeks now, and I think we can safely say that she and Rufus adore each other. Playing together and cuddling up despite the heat. Orla is intelligent enough to have learnt to give Roxy her space, and full credit to Roxy, she has been a lot more accepting of Orla than she was with Rufus.
Hope all these kitties out there are coping with this unending heat. So important for us to be monitering their fluid intake. Again, Orla and Rufus are coping well, but we do have concerns with Roxy, so she is kind of in detention today. She spent all day yesterday outside and ate and drank very little, hopefully she'll stop sulking soon and have some of the broth mix I have put down for her.

Well, after being fairly busy looking after lots of other people's gorgeous cats for most of June we had a little lull at the beginning of this month. What better way to fill our time than to bring another little one into our family - introducing Orla, our beautiful new kitty. Lots more updates to follow.
