It’s getting harder and harder to reach you. Please don’t let us disappear completely.
LCH is a small, closely-knit team of volunteers who live for dogs and other animals. Our core mission is straightforward—to find loving forever homes for those we are called to help, given our limited resources. 🐾❤️🐾❤️
We run a website and social media, but in this world of Influencers, AI, Monetisers, bots and the dreaded ever changing algorithm, our Facebook posts can easily be shunted out of view, never to appear on your feed.
Why ❓❓
Because, in simple terms, Algo reckons that if you’ve scrolled past one of our posts, you won’t be interested in the next one.
And here’s the crux: when a post doesn’t get a half decent response in the first hour, its ‘relevance score’ goes down dramatically and it can disappear completely—for everybody. With AI being used more and more in the algorithm, you’ll likely end up seeing fewer of our posts, until we vanish from your feed forever.
So, even if you follow us, you may never see the dog who urgently needs a space 🙏. You’ll miss the date of our next dog show, 🏆 and the happy news of an oldie settling into their new ‘Rest of Life’ foster home 🐾💜. A supporter’s fundraiser, our dog training classes schedule, news from our wonderful shop in Tintagel, our next online auction, the rare plea for funds…all these very occasional posts which mean so much to us will be buried at the bottom of the pile. 😔
We don’t possess the skillset of an experienced social media manager; all we can do is try our best to get our message across and help in whatever way we can—dogs and their humans.
Please stick with us, a quick ‘like’ 👍 can work wonders, a ‘love’ ❤️ is treasure, a comment is the sweetest icing on the cake. All can improve our reach, and that can only be a good thing, for LCH and the dogs we are trying to rehome.
To those who don’t scroll past, but stop to read our posts—and better still, respond to them—a huge and heartfelt ‘thank you’.
You’re worth your weight in gold.💛💛💛
