🐾 Sage’s Patient Journey 🐶💙

Last week, the lovely Sage came into the vets for his routine castration!

🏥 Admission: Sage was checked in, weighed and given a full pre-operative health check to make sure he was fit for surgery.

💉 Preparation: He received pre-medication before being placed under general anaesthesia, with his vital signs closely monitored throughout.

🩺 Surgery: Sage’s castration was performed by our veterinary surgeon, with our nursing team monitoring him throughout the procedure.

💤 Recovery: After surgery, Sage was kept warm and comfortable while he recovered from his anaesthetic. His pain levels and surgical wound were checked carefully.

🏡 Discharge: Once Sage was awake and stable, he was reunited with his owner and sent home with pain relief and aftercare advice to help him recover comfortably.

Sage is currently recovering well! 💙🐾

🐾 Exciting news! 🐾

We’re delighted to share that our VCA, Alex, has officially started her training to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)! 🎓🐶🐱

Alex has already become such a valued member of our team, and we’re so pleased to support her as she takes this exciting next step in her career. Veterinary nursing is a rewarding and challenging profession, and we know she’ll put her heart into every part of her training. 💕🩺

We can’t wait to watch her develop her skills, gain experience and grow into an amazing veterinary nurse.

Good luck, Alex — we’re all cheering you on! 🐾💚

🐾🌍 Happy World Animal Day! 🌍🐾

Today is all about celebrating the incredible animals who bring so much joy, companionship and love into our lives. ❤️

From the smallest hamster to the biggest dog, from cheeky cats to curious rabbits — every animal deserves kindness, respect and the very best care. 🐶🐱🐰🐹

As vets, we’re lucky enough to meet so many wonderful animals every day, each with their own unique personality (and plenty of their own opinions! 😄).

World Animal Day is a lovely reminder of the responsibility we have to look after the animals who depend on us — keeping them healthy, happy and giving them the best quality of life possible.

So today, give your pets an extra cuddle, an extra treat (if they're allowed! 😉) and a little reminder of just how loved they are. 🐾❤️

🐶 Max’s Cat-astrophic Snack! 🐱😂

Meet Max, a cheeky boy who recently decided that his dinner wasn’t quite exciting enough… so he tucked into THREE cat toy mice! 🐭🐭🐭

Unfortunately for Max, these weren’t quite the mice-shaped treats he had in mind! 😅

Max was brought into the practice after his owners discovered his unusual snack, and our veterinary team got to work assessing him and making sure those toy mice weren’t going to cause any problems. Our team decided the best treatment for max was to make him sick to prevent a potential blockage and surgery.

Thankfully, Max has made a full recovery and as far as we know not consumed any more cat toys!

🚨 A little reminder for pet owners:
Dogs can be incredibly curious (and sometimes surprisingly determined!) when it comes to eating things they shouldn’t. Toys, socks, stones and even children’s toys can all cause serious problems if swallowed.

Keep tempting objects out of reach and, if your pet does swallow something they shouldn’t, contact your vet for advice as soon as possible. 🐾

Today we’re celebrating the amazing receptionists who are often the first friendly face you see and the reassuring voice you hear when you call our practice. 🥰

From answering endless questions and juggling appointments, to comforting worried pet parents, supporting the clinical team, handling emergencies, and somehow keeping everything running smoothly — our veterinary receptionists truly do it all! 🐶🐱🐰

Your patience, kindness, organisation, compassion and dedication make such a difference to our clients, their beloved pets, and the whole veterinary team.

Black dogs sometimes get overlooked when it comes to adoption, but we think they deserve just as much love, attention and fuss as every other dog. ❤️

🐾 Meet Dede & Lennox 🖤🖤

These two adorable little troublemakers visited us for microchipping.

Microchipping is a quick and important way to help make sure your furry family members can be identified and safely reunited with you if they ever go missing 🏠💕

Dede and Lennox were certainly inquisitive- neither of them was particulary keen on staying in their carrier when there was so much to investigate! 😍🐾

Dont forget to get your pet micrcochipped and keep their registration details up to date!

🐰 Meet the gentle giant with ears to match! 🐰

We had a very special patient visit us recently — a 6-month-old Continental Giant rabbit who is already weighing in at around the same weight as a cat! 😲

This handsome boy came in for his routine castration, and despite his impressive size, he was an absolute sweetheart. ❤️

As a house rabbit, he’s fully house-trained and even arrived at the practice with his very own litter tray!

Continental Giants are known for being gentle, friendly rabbits, but this lovely boy certainly lived up to the name "gentle giant."

We think those enormous ears deserve a post of their own! 👂🐰
