New fear unlocked: GRASS🌾

Yep, as if we don’t already have enough to worry about, summer brings another hidden hazard for our doggos. These sneaky little seeds can get lodged in your dog’s paws, ears, eyes, nose, or skin, and they’re hard to spot and even harder to remove.

I recently rushed a dog to the vet with a grass seed stuck in his ear, and let me tell you, it was no joke!

If your dog suddenly starts limping, shaking their head, sneezing repeatedly, or constantly licking a paw after a walk, it’s worth getting them checked out ASAP.

Why use secure dog walking fields? 🐾

People imagine walking in the countryside is peaceful… but in reality there’s a llama I’m slightly scared of, deer around every corner, and an endless supply of poo that the dogs are determined to eat or roll in. Sometimes, my little heart can't take it.

Here's a few reasons why I'm using secure fields more often...

💚 Complete freedom
Some dogs can't safely be let off lead due to poor recall, chasing wildlife, or because they're nervous or reactive. In a secure field, they can run, sniff and explore safely.

💚 Better interaction
The dogs have plenty of space to play, chase balls, get the zoomies and enjoy themselves without interruptions from other dogs or surprises around the corner.

💚 Time to explore
I'm not constantly calling them back when they wander out of sight. They can investigate at their own pace and enjoy being dogs.

💚 It's fun!
Many fields have platforms, tunnels, agility equipment and things to climb on or hide under. They're like doggy playgrounds, and the dogs absolutely love them.

💚 No pressure
Some dogs spend the whole session racing around, while others prefer to potter about or relax under a bench. They can do as much or as little as they like.

💚 Peace of mind (no heart attack)
Looking after other people's dogs is a big responsibility. Secure fields allow me to focus on giving the dogs the safest, happiest and most enjoyable experience possible without the stress.

People always ask how many dogs I have at once… so here’s a little peek at the squad! 🥰

Big dogs, tiny dogs, youngsters and oldies - all playing together, snoozing together and getting along.

Some days it’s wonderfully calm and civilised. Other days, I spill my coffee and tread in s**t 🙃

✨ Max 7 dogs a day (including Hettie)
✨ Up to 4 regular daycare dogs each day
✨️ Up to 3 boarding dogs
✨️ All year round, including weekends

Every week is different and numbers vary throughout the year - it takes a lot of juggling, but I will always try to fit your dog in if I can! So if you're thinking of regular daycare or boarding in the future, please do get in touch for a free Meet & Greet🐾

Beauties in the bluebells 💙✨️

And yes - I know bluebells are toxic to dogs! These pics took literally seconds and were taken on seperate days. The dogs weren't roaming around schnacking on poisonous flowers 🫠

Today, we woke up and decided to take the dogs on a little adventure ☀️

Cue our new obsession - Paper Mill Lock📍

Such a beautiful walk along the River Chelmer, lovely tearooms, friendly people, and plenty of dogs having the time of their damn lives.

It was a hot one this morning, so we didn't go too far and we left little Hettie at home (don't feel sorry for her, she doesn't miss out 💛), but we will 100% be revisiting.

If any locals have advice on hiking trails, parking spots, paddling spots (pubs along the route) etc, please let us know! X

One week of Maggie 💫

We don’t have many big dogs stay with us - not because we don’t LOVE them, but because some of our little ones can find them a bit intimidating. Plus, I really like not falling up/down the stairs or having a small sliver of sofa every evening.

But Maggie has been an absolute dream!

She loves to play, knows when to take a hint and has completely won everyone over.

So if you have a big softie, please do get in touch. It may not always work out, but sometimes, it's golden 💛

Saturdays with my mates 🥰

Weekends look the same as weekdays at the moment, and I really can't complain in this weather! Please remember, your dogs ARE my plans, my routine is based around them coming and going - they are literally my whole social life.

Meanwhile, you should be out enjoying yours. Book the trip, say yes to the day out, stay for that extra drink, stop feeling guilty. I’ve got them covered! ❤️
