I’m in love with this girlie - Butterscotch 💜🧡🖤

With still one moult to go till adult, only time will tell if she stays this colour. Why? 🤔
Well Butterscotch is a Phidippus Dark Goliath and on final moult, anything can happen but their true name gives you a hint 🕷️🕸️

She has the most fluffiest pom-poms as pedipalps, this orange glow and one of the most gentlest calm natures to experience 🥹

Was very happy to show me her new clothes, her mum didn’t go as dark compared to all others when adult and I honestly couldn’t be more grateful for having the opportunity to help Jumping Spiders Web. again along with a few others establish these in our awesome Uk Jumping Spider Hobby. Much respect to two highly experienced and long standing breeders in our Spooder Community 🫡 ♥️♥️

Well everything I’m finding in Scotland is bigger, in more ways then one 😆🫣🤭

Everyone meet our new house guest who’s vacationing here whilst the weather is bad and also possibly looking for love, the wee Big Beastie from the NE cos tis the season they visit our warm homes. But please don’t be scared by the poo the newspapers write, their harmless creatures ♥️🏠 💦⛈️

So here Hamish the Hairy Giant House Spider (Eratigena species) and by far one of my fave native spiders here in the uk. Amazing childhood memories finding them in the bath/lounge 😍🕷️🕸️

After a mad couple of minutes running around, Hamish then stopped looked at me and walked happily onto me. He then didn’t want to get off off me and now chilling behind a photo in the lounge, nice and dry from the rain ♥️

I’m still slowly working my way through all of your messages, so thank you for bearing with me! 🥰

Just one little thing I wanted to mention — if you ask to be added to my order list, whether that’s for a Flurry or anything else, please only do so if you’re happy to send payment to secure your spot. Unfortunately, I can’t hold spaces without payment, so I’ll need to move on to the next person if payment isn’t made ☺️

I completely understand that not everyone has the spare money for things like this, and that’s absolutely okay! I genuinely wish I could make them cheaper, but once I add up the cost of materials and the time that goes into each piece, I’m really not making a huge amount.

I don’t use cheap materials — some of my fabrics cost nearly £30 per metre, and I can easily use a full metre or more on one creation. Flurry alone took me around 25 hours to make, spread across a week. Realistically, for the time and materials involved, he could easily be a £300+ piece, but I’m selling him for £135, so I really do try to keep my prices as fair as possible while still making it worthwhile ❤️

That being said… I had a little idea! 👀🏆

You know it’s quite amusing, when the Doorbell goes 23:10 hrs, we’re like wtf? Then all I hear is Emma in fits of giggles 🤭

Charlie pops out, more giggling, so then finally me. All we see is Mark & Emma going look come here Auroras in the street 🤭

God knows what our neighbours think, 4 grown adults giggling, 2 pointing their night vision cameras up at the sky. We’ve never laughed so much, love you guys 😘😂🤣🤭😜

Thought I’d share that with you, coz it’s good to giggle, even when life gets you down 💟💟

Scotland we love you even more 😍 our 1st ever Aurora in real life and not in a photo. Living in SE England we never saw 💫🌑✨✨✨✨

A first for Hubby seeing one in real life back in Scotland and has truly made his night in so many ways. We’re all truly blessed by both Mother Nature and the Universe 💟

So you know what we’re doing, giving it another hour then going Spink-Bug Mobile 🚙 is off Aurora chasing through our local nature. When the heating & hot water still isn’t working. Best way to relax at the end of a stressful day learning about Air Flow Heat Pumps at great length, why not go watch Auroras with Charlie 😂🤭😜🤪
