This dashing boy Gaston came to visit us for a heart scan performed by our Vet Marketa. 💙🐾
Gaston started to cough more often than usual and his belly had swollen, making him very uncomfortable to lay down.
Dr Marketa took a look on the ultrasound, and saw a pericardial effusion, which means there was fluid in the pericardium, the double-layered sac surrounding the heart.
After our amazing teams work, Dr Marketa and Dr Peter had done a Pericardiocentesis, which means draining the fluid through the catheter until the pressure on the heart is relieved. The catheter was guided by ultrasound to make sure it is in the right place.

We are so happy to hear that Gaston is thriving and doing so well after his treatment! 💙🐾

A heatwave is among us! 🌞

Even though the sun and hot weather is lovely for us, for our BBQ's, gardening, and days out, its too hot for our little fur babies! 🥵

If you want to take your pets for a walk, always walk them early in the morning before the sun hits its peak. Remember, if it is too hot for your bare hand on the pavement for 5 seconds, its too hot for a walk!
To keep your little pets cool, you can freeze bottles of water and place them in their shaded beds and they will really appreciate the DIY air con!
Keep your pets hydrated, fans or air con on, and stay safe in this heat!💙

Gorgeous boy Ralph came in last week because he had a sore ear.
The Vet had a look, took a swab and prescribed some antibiotic treatment and a cleaner as he had an infection!🔬
Ralph was extremely happy after finding out what was wrong and posed for a couple of photos in the waiting room.💙💚

Ear infections are common in pets with long fur around the ears. If you notice any head shaking or pawing at the ears, don't hesitate to give us a call and one of our Vets can take a look! 👀

This cutie Honey came in yesterday to spend the day with us.🥰

She had a spay, hernia repair and a persistent deciduous tooth removed! 🦷

She was an angel patient yesterday and Nurse Millie loved giving her some well deserved attention!🧡

A persistent deciduous tooth is a baby tooth which hasn't fallen out but the adult tooth is growing next to it. These can cause problems in the future like crowding, gum disease, or misaligned adult teeth!

She was loving the attention from Katie the receptionist. 🥰
