A little bit about me… and some of the people you don’t normally see on here. 🤍
If you’ve followed Golden Paws for a while, you’ll have seen an awful lot of dogs, quite a few cats, Frank, and probably various members of our household wandering through at some point.
But you don’t often get to see this beautiful lot.
Frank and I have a lovely blended family, and between us we have this ever-growing collection of children, partners and now grandchildren. Some are part of our everyday life at home, while others have grown up, flown the nest and built lives and families of their own.
And goodness, we are proud of them all
My girls were the ones who first made me Mum. And there’s something quite extraordinary about looking at those little girls you raised and suddenly realising you’re looking at grown women.
You spend years doing school runs, washing, worrying, organising, feeding everybody and wondering whether you’re getting any of it right.
Then somehow they’re grown.
And now there’s another generation coming through too….
One of the things I love most about our family is tradition. I’ve always loved creating those little things that become “what our family does”, and my girls have definitely inherited that from me.
Now we’re creating new traditions together, bringing old ones with us and making memories for the next generation.
Our family hasn’t got smaller as the children have grown up. It’s just grown in a different direction.
And perhaps you never really stop being Mum either. You still worry. You still want to feed everyone. You still check everyone is OK. And yes, you may occasionally ask a fully grown adult whether they’ve remembered a coat.
Surely that isn’t just me?
So, no doggy daycare chat today.
Just a very proud mum and Nana introducing you to a little more of the family behind Golden Paws.
And looking through these photographs thinking…
Bloody hell. We made all this. 🤍
