At this point, I think it's easier to tell you what we've got available, than when we're fully booked!!

We have AVAILABILITY as follows:

JUNE
Monday 1st June to Sunday 7th June
Monday 15th June to Thursday 25th June

JULY
Monday 6th July to Friday 10th July

AUGUST
Thursday 13th August to Thursday 27th August

SEPTEMBER
Monday 7th September to Thursday 10th September
Monday 21st September to Wednesday 30th September

This is all we have left at the moment - if we do get any cancellations, they will be on a first come first served basis and I will post up on here if/when I get them.

If we don't have the dates you require, I can personally recommend you contact either:

Conifer Kennels and Cattery based at Weston on Trent, I have used this cattery personally for a long time - Michelle is a wonderful lifelong friend (and I used to work there too!) Highly recommended and local to us.

Aston Cattery, Derby Road, Aston on Trent - newly opened in February this year, Mandy is lovely and can be contacted on either [email protected] or 07957 400284 - again, highly recommended, and local to us

Fur Your Convenience Pet Care - if the hot weather is too much for your kitty, and you don't think a cattery is best right now, then try Alix at Fur Your Convenience - lovely lady, highly recommended and could be the best alternative to keep your kitty at home!

Finally, we are doing all we can to keep it cool in the cattery, we've added shade, fans, aircon units, ice cubes to water fountains - we're checking every cat at least half hourly through the day. We have cooling mats for each cat and we're feeding earlier in the morning and later in the evening, when it's cooler - literally doing everything we can to keep them comfortable and as cool as possible.

We do ask if you can bring your cats/collect them in the morning through this hot weather, that is preferable - but we will stick to any arrangements we have made.

We are now fully booked for the following dates:

22nd - 26th May 2026 (Late May Bank Holiday)
10th - 14th June 2026 (Download Weekend)
16th - 18th July 2026
30th - 31st July 2026
4th - 7th August 2026

Bookings are now coming in very fast for the summer season - please don't delay if you know your dates, we are not running a cancellation list this year, and any last minute vacancies will be first-come first served.

Please also note that any bookings which are not cancelled, but no longer required, will be charged the full booking cost during peak season - we require 30 days notice in peak periods to ensure we can fill the vacany.

If you need to cancel your booking with us, that is fine, but there are notice periods within which to do so - which are clearly set out in our terms and conditions and can be found here: https://www.springfield-cattery.co.uk/terms-and-conditions/

We do not want to have to start taking non-refundable deposits for our peak seasons, but we are finding that there are more "no shows" with no cancellation for the booking. Not honouring your booking when you have made a reservation is inconvenient for us and for others who could have had that space and were refused based on us being fully booked - not to mention just plain rude.

We have kept our prices the same for the second year running, we understand how awful the economy is for everyone and we're doing what we can to help - please help us too!

1. I agree for a veterinarian to be called on my behalf should my cat take ill.  I will supply my veterinarian details but if they are not local will accept an alternative veterinarian being used. Summer season is upon us!!

We're now open in the afternoons between 4pm and 6pm (except Wednesday) for drop off and collections!

We do prefer morning drop off as this allows us more time to make sure your kitty is settled in before bed time!

Just to update we are fully booked for both Easter and Spring Bank Holiday, and filling up fast in June, July and August.

Meet Saffy and Topper! Through no fault of their own, they need a new loving home together, they're a bonded pair and while Topper (Siamese) is very outgoing and confident, Saffy (small black and very fluffy) is very shy and nervous.
Neither cat has a bad bone in them, but they will benefit from a quiet home with no other cats or dogs.

The following dates will be our peak seasons in 2026:

14th-22nd February (half term)
27th March - 19th April (Easter)
1st - 5th May (May Day Bank Holiday weekend)
22nd -31st May (half term)
20th July - 30th September (Main summer season)
23rd October - 1st November (half term)
21st December - 2nd January (Christmas)

We are already taking bookings for all of these periods next year, please book early to avoid disappointment.
We have taken the decision not to hold a cancellation list this year, and any vacancies which become available will be on a first come, first served basis.

Christmas opening hours as follows:

1st - 23rd December - daily opening between 10am and 12 noon for drop off and collection.
24th December - drop off and collection between 9am and 10am only.
25th-26th December - closed for drop off and collections.
27th -28th December - drop off and collection between 9am and 10am only.
29th - 31st December - daily opening between 10am and 12 noon for drop off and collection.
1st January 2026 - closed for drop off and collections.
2nd January onwards - daily opening between 10am and 12 noon for drop off and collection.
