Hartleys Skip Hire Stoke Hartley’s is a family owned business, that has a long history of professional waste management. We have Mini Skips, Midi Skips and Large Skips for Hire.

⚙️ A BIG NEW ARRIVAL AT HARTLEY’S ⚙️

We’re proud to welcome our new 700-ton Lefort Konkeror shear & baler to the yard — a major investment in the future of our business.

Replacing our old Lefort 600, the new machine will play a huge and vital part in processing the growing volumes of general scrap metal and end-of-life vehicles that come through our site, allowing us to prepare material efficiently and to a high standard ready for export and onward recycling and remanufacturing.

This investment is part of some big changes taking place at our family business. As the amount of material we handle continues to grow, we’ve been working hard to modernise the site, improve the way we operate and make sure we have the right equipment and infrastructure in place for the years ahead.

The new Konkeror gives us greater processing capability, improved efficiency and another big step forward in keeping the yard moving with the demands of a growing business.

It’s been a lot of work for the team getting everything ready, but it’s great to finally see the machine in place and doing what it was built to do.

From October 1st 2026, changes are being made for how a site reports their incoming waste. This means we will need to know your waste carriers licence number if you visit either of our sites, if we don’t already have it on record. If you need to apply for a waste carriers licence please go to the gov.uk site as there are other sites which are charging more!! Let’s talk overloading skips- very short conversation, do not do it! 🙈 The skips need to be filled level to the top of the skip. These photos are sadly all from the last couple of weeks. We will not collect them overloaded. And the answer to the question is -yes the trucks do have sheets, but the skips still need to be filled level.
