More freezer space = more food choices 🐠

We’ve got a new freezer in store, giving us room to expand our frozen food range.

More choice for everyday feeding, more options for fussy fish and a better selection for building a varied diet rather than feeding the same thing every day.

We’ll be filling the extra space with new lines over the coming weeks.

We’re open again! 🐠

🪨 Build your next scape at our rock building station — lay out your tank size, move things around and get it right before taking the rock home.

🧪 Bring some tank water and use our testing station with us. We’ll show you how to run the tests properly and understand the results. No need to book.

🐠 And, of course, there are some gorgeous fish in the tanks at the moment — from little reef favourites to some XL monsters that are worth the trip just to see.

Sunday plans? Come and talk reef. 🐠

One of our favourite things about the shop is seeing Happy Reefers sticking around.

Watching the fish. Talking tanks. Comparing corals. Asking questions. Remembering something they spotted on the first lap and going back for another look.

That’s what we wanted The Happy Reef to be.

So if you’ve got a free Sunday, come down, grab a coffee, take a seat and spend some time around the tanks.

We’ve built something new in store 🧪

Our new water testing station is now up and running.

The idea is simple — we don’t just want to test your water and hand you a set of numbers. We want to show you how to test it yourself.

Salinity, alkalinity, nitrate, phosphate, calcium, magnesium and more. How to use the tests properly, how to get consistent results and, importantly, what those numbers actually mean for your reef.

Bring a water sample in and we can test it with you, talk through the results and show you exactly what we’re doing.

Because understanding your own water is far more useful than simply being told it’s “fine”.

Happy Reefers — come and have a go. 🐠

Happy Reefers, if you’re looking for somewhere to go this weekend, make a trip to The Happy Reef. 🐠

There are some cracking fish to find at the moment. Our tiny Pink Leaf Fish is easy to miss, while the adult Blueface Angel definitely isn’t.

But don’t rush around.

Grab a coffee, take a seat in the fish room and spend some time watching the tanks. Have another lap. There’s always something you missed the first time.

The Happy Reef isn’t just somewhere to pick up fish and coral. Come and enjoy it.
