Many Tears Animal Rescue (Registered Charity #1192227) is a small rescue centre based in Wales. We rehome approx 3000 dogs per year, as well as cats and other animals. We take in mainly ex breeding dogs but also dogs from the pounds, public hand-ins and a small number from rescues abroad when we can. Many Tears Rescue also runs community programmes, volunteer groups, friendship clubs and hosts edu

cational courses for different groups. It is such a happy place, full of positive energy and where the staff and volunteers work tirelessly to help the animals in their care. All animals that come to the rescue are assessed, health checked, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated before being carefully adopted to their forever homes. Many of the animals arrive with health problems that need to be addressed and so the vet bills, along with the utility bills to heat the kennels and keep the place running are vast. We rely on donations and fundraisers to keep the rescue running and we are so grateful for your support support. Let’s introduce you to the sweetest sausage you’ll ever meet - Glitter✨

Glitter is an 8 year old Dachshund who up until recently has been used as a breeding dog. She has spent 8 whole years without love & we think it’s about time that we change that for good…

From the very second Glitter stepped off our van, she has been a ray of sunshine & will greet anyone and everyone with the waggiest of tails and the best cuddles🥰

Glitter shares her kennel, food & space with her canine companions here but what she doesn’t like sharing is her humans. She absolutely adores her people, and would happily choose them over other dogs. She has displayed guarding & jealous behaviours here when sharing attention, so we think it’s best she is homed as an only dog🐾

She can absolutely socialise with other dogs when adopted, as she does enjoy their company when out in the yard & chilling in the kennel!! She can also be homed with gentle, dog-savvy teens🏡

Glitters personality shines so bright, which makes it even more devastating that she has lived 8 whole years with no one seeing her full potential. She loves cuddles, loves rolling over for a belly rub, and quite easily would brighten your darkest day🥺

Somehow Glitter has already been waiting over a month for a home, let’s not keep her waiting a second longer🖤

Bruno – A Face You May Remember 🥺❤️

Bruno first came to us in October 2024. After spending some time at the rescue, he moved into foster care and eventually found what we hoped would be his forever home.

Sadly, almost a year later, Bruno has been returned to us. The reason given was that he was struggling with house training, despite having made excellent progress during his time in foster.🥺

It’s heartbreaking to see him back. Bruno is genuinely one of the easiest dogs here at the rescue. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is friendly with everyone he meets. He can be a little hand shy and, at the moment, doesn’t often seek out affection, but he is a gentle soul who asks for very little.❤️‍🩹

When Bruno left us in 2024, we had started to see his cheeky personality shine through. He loved racing around the yard and chasing after a ball. Sadly, since returning to kennel life, it feels as though that spark has faded. He tends to keep himself to himself, quietly watching the world go by. We hope that, with the right family, plenty of patience, and a home where he feels safe and loved, we’ll see him chasing after that ball again one day. ✨

True to his Bulldog nature, Bruno absolutely loves the sunshine. You’ll often find him stretched out in a sunny spot, happily soaking up the warmth. In fact, he enjoys it so much that you’ll need to keep an eye on him during hot weather, as he’d happily stay there all day regardless of the temperature! 😅

Bruno deserves a family who will see beyond the small challenges and give him the patience, understanding, and love he needs to flourish. We truly believe he will make an incredible companion for the right home.

Since returning to our care, our vets noticed that Bruno has a slightly wobbly gait. He was referred for X-rays, which revealed changes consistent with hip dysplasia. At present, this is not causing him any pain and does not affect his day to day life. However, any future adopters should be aware of this and monitor him for signs of discomfort or lameness as he gets older. 🫶🏽

We know Bruno’s perfect family is out there somewhere. He just needs someone willing to give him the chance he deserves. ❤️

Calling all Cavalier lovers... especially those with a soft spot for the golden oldies. ✨ Please meet our handsome gentleman, Eric. 🩵

Eric is 9 years old and has come to us from a breeder ready to begin his search for a loving retirement home where he can enjoy all the comforts and affection he deserves. 🥹

He is understandably a little worried to find himself here, but he is settling in well and coming more out of his shell each day. He is already starting to enjoy some gentle fuss and attention and is the sweetest soul. He will be looking for a quiet home with patient adopters who will allow him to settle in at his own pace. 🫶🏻

Eric takes great comfort from other dogs and will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in his new home to be his best friend. He especially likes saying hello to the girlies and will make a point to greet each kennel he passes on his way to the play yard. 🥰

He has never lived in a home before, so has lots to learn and his adopters will need to be kind and understanding as he learns all about home life and house training. Everything will be very new to him, but we hope it won’t take him too long to discover the softest beds to snooze in and where all the tasty treats are kept. ☺️

It breaks our hearts knowing that Eric has spent all of his years in kennels and has never experienced the simple pleasures so many dogs take for granted. A warm bed.. a gentle cuddle.. a family to call his own. Now it’s finally Eric’s turn to become someone’s special boy. Could you be the one to give this lovely older boy the retirement he so deserves? 🩵

Please meet Zac 🐾

Zac is an incredible 4-year-old Border Collie who has stolen so many hearts at the rescue. He is the sweetest boy and adores the people he trusts…you just need to earn that trust first, and rightly so!

Zac came to Many Tears last August and was briefly adopted, but returned in October as he was nervous of the man in the home. Before coming to us, it seems he had very little human contact and had known little kindness, so new people can still feel scary for him. He’ll often take a treat, but may step back and hesitate until he feels safe🥺

He needs a calm, adult-only home with patient adopters who understand nervous dogs and will let him build confidence at his own pace. With time, reassurance and kindness, Zac has made phenomenal progress. Day by day, his circle of trusted people grows, and we are so proud of how hard he is trying💕

Zac would like to be the only dog in the home. He has found kennel life difficult, but has settled over time. Out on walks, he has stayed calm when another dog reacted towards him, and has even passed a horse with curiosity before happily carrying on🐾

Once Zac trusts you, the most beautiful side of him shines through. He is affectionate, playful and cuddly…leaning in for chin scratches, rolling over for belly rubs, and gently standing on his back legs to ask for fuss. The bond he has with his kennel mummy shows just how much love he has to give🥰

Zac enjoys his walks and zoomies in the play yard, though he still looks for reassurance when unsure. Sudden movements and unexpected noises can worry him, but he is learning the world can be safe!!

What Zac needs most is someone who can see past his initial nerves and recognise the gentle, adoring soul underneath. He has the cheekiest smile, the funniest personality, the most infectious energy and now he just needs the best home🏡

💔HELP OUR SENIOR BOY FIND HIS HOME💔

Truso is a very handsome Collie cross Labrador who has found himself back at Many Tears looking for his perfect retirement home. Originally adopted from us as an 8-week-old pup, this gentle soul spent a full decade in a home.

Our boy Ronald has been adopted! 🎉

Ronald was adopted 11 days ago, and we’re so pleased to say that he is absolutely thriving in his new home. 🫶🏽

Although he had a long 14 month wait in kennels, as the saying goes, good things come to those who wait and he truly couldn’t have found a more perfect home, with adopters completely devoted to him and his needs. ✨

In his short time there, he’s already been on a long walk across the South Downs, enjoyed lots of beach walks, and been introduced to the extended family, who are all completely besotted with him.

He’s met the family dog, visited a secure barn where he showed off his agility skills, celebrated his dad’s 30th birthday with a family meal at the pub, and even has a Lido dog swim booked for September!🐕

We are so proud of him and the dog he has become. We miss him dearly at the rescue, but seeing the life he’s living now reminds us exactly why we do what we do and what makes the hard goodbyes always worth it. 🥹

Meet our lovely girl Naomi 💗

Naomi is a 3 year old Beagle searching for her forever home!

When Naomi first arrived, she was a little nervous, but her confidence has grown so much and her cheeky personality is really starting to shine through! She loves sneaking off with anything she can find in the yard, whether it’s your phone, radio, or anything else left unattended so we think she’s destined to become a professional sock thief in her future home! She’ll certainly keep you smiling and entertained. 🫶🏽

Naomi is now walking well on the lead, although she’ll still need gentle introductions to busier areas as she continues to build her confidence. She would love a home with at least one kind and confident resident dog to help show her the ropes and make her feel secure.

Once Naomi trusts you, she is incredibly loving and affectionate, and we know she’s going to make the most amazing addition to a lucky family 🐶✨

Meet our lovely girl Xena, she is a 1 year old Labrador cross who is looking for her forever home ❤️

When Xena first arrived with us, she was very overwhelmed and nervous, but she has quickly bonded with her kennel mum and shown what a loving and affectionate girl she truly is. She will need patient and kind adopters who are willing to give her the time and space to build that same trusting bond with them. 🫶🏽

Xena is looking for a home with at least one kind and confident dog who can help teach her the ropes of life outside of rescue and support her as her confidence continues to grow in new environments.✨

We really hope Xena doesn’t have to spend much longer in kennels and can soon enjoy the happy life she truly deserves 🐶💕
