Great opportunity to work on your mindset and control (been a huge help for my riding over the past year!) something I believe we all as riders should invest in ❤️

Maybe give it a try if you have a Tuesday evening free 🤩

🐴 Something new is starting at Silvolutions tomorrow evening…

I’ve been thinking for a while about how I can make the psychological side of what I do more accessible, particularly for people who might have thought about hypnotherapy or getting some help with their confidence, but aren’t quite ready to commit to individual sessions; whether that’s because of cost, curiosity, or simply because one-to-one support feels like a bigger step than they want to take right now.

So… welcome to The Tuesday Tack Room - Between the Ears. 🐴🧠

Every Tuesday evening we’ll spend the first part of the session exploring something that affects us psychologically as riders - confidence, nerves, overthinking, competition pressure, fear of judgement, motivation, bouncing back after a crap ride, or whatever else happens to be going on between the ears.

I’ll bring some psychology, practical ideas and different ways of looking at things, and there’ll always be space for questions and conversation if you want it.

But you absolutely don’t have to talk.

Camera on or off. Microphone muted. Use the chat if you’d rather. Change your display name if anonymity makes you more comfortable. Or just sit there with a cuppa and listen. ☕

Then for the second half, we’ll stop talking, get comfortable and I’ll guide you through a hypnotherapy and relaxation session based around what we’ve explored that evening.

No pressure. No judgement. No expectation to share anything you don’t want to.

Just 90 minutes to spend a little time working on what’s happening between the ears… and then give your brain a chance to switch off for a while.

🐴 The Tuesday Tack Room
📅 Every Tuesday
⏰ 8:00–9:30pm
💻 Online via Zoom
🎟️ £15 PAYG | £45 Monthly Tack Room Pass

The first Tack Room opens tomorrow, 1st September at 8pm.

If you’ve been curious about hypnotherapy, want to work on the psychological side of your riding, or just fancy pulling up a bale and listening for a while, you’re very welcome. 😊

We can’t let the event horses leave us behind 🤭

Sylvester had a trip out to Northallerton for the PSG, and it was a really good day where so much of the work we’ve been doing at home came into the arena with us, 66% and a win 🥳

He was so rideable and really let me think more about the lines and the control that I usually forget about! 😂 Sadly, he decided he needed to sneeze midway through each line of tempis, which wasn’t particularly helpful for the counting… especially when the changes were so lovely! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

Still lots of work to do to keep improving, but I feel really excited about where we can progress to 🤞

I feel so lucky to be able to ride at this level and to be able to learn so much along the way. It was all once just a dream 🥹❤️

Both horses showed great form this weekend at frickleyparkhorsetrials. 🐴

Shy ran Double clear round the Novice track with a couple of time faults to finish 4th.
Buddy then had a great run in the Intermediate, finishing Double clear with a few time faults to take 3rd.

A great day had by everyone involved, and it was nice to feel the horses really loving their job and staying on their lines throughout! They don’t get enough credit, but they really are amazing, and I feel very privileged to ride them!

It was also lovely to have his old owner and very good friend Emma there to support us and see what a wonderful little event horse Shy is turning into! ❤️ e.littlewood

A late report from the dressage front, but the eventing boys have been keeping things far more exciting lately! 😂

We headed to the Regionals with Biscuit at Medium, and she showed some really lovely work. However, being the woman she is, she anticipated the canter a little too much after the walk and got mightily annoyed with me when I told her to wait… cue a few madam moments in the canter for the judges to enjoy! 🙈 Whoops! She still looked beautiful though, and we managed to get a lovely picture. ☺️

Sylvester was 3rd in the PSG at Petplan. Sadly, he was a little spooky at the start, which cost us some easy marks, but hey ho—that’s how it goes. It’s very easy to feel like you don’t belong at that level, but just getting in the arena and giving it your best is a privilege in itself. 🥰🦄

As always, I’m just grateful for these two and the effort they both give me. Loving the ponies and appreciating their efforts is what it’s all about. 🤩❤️

Greenwood Photography thanks for the lovely pictures ❤️

A review of the last two events for the wonderful boys! 💥

We kicked things off at Aston-le-Walls, where Shy tackled a confidence-building Novice run. He may have been a little steady, but he answered some challenging questions brilliantly and came home full of confidence.
Buddy then put in a strong Intermediate performance to finish 4th. 👏

Today at Burgham, both horses put their best hoof forward! 🏆

✨ Shy produced a superb double clear to win his Novice section, building perfectly on last weekend’s confidence.
✨ Buddy followed suit also with a fantastic double clear to take the win in his Intermediate section.

Both horses are fairly green at their level so it’s great to see the hard work and training is paying off.

Massive thanks to both Aston le Walls and Burgham Horse Trials for all the hard work that went into the going—it was hugely appreciated and made for excellent conditions. And not forgetting the support team that makes these days possible and enjoyable.
