Food, walks, play, enrichment, cuddles and a little bit of chaos… pretty much the perfect day! 🐢🫢🏻

Dottie especially had me smiling this time. After taking a little while to come out of her shell, she was showing us much more of her cheeky side, including her discovery that my training vest is apparently a self-service kibble bar 🀣 And watching her play was another lovely reminder that some dogs just need the right set up to show you just how much they do love it.

Meanwhile, Wilma was busy perfecting her new release cue, rolling in the dirt (obviously πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ), playing tug and generally living her best life, while Flora enjoyed some peaceful garden time and all the fusses. And of course, Blair snuck in to join us for a walk too πŸ’œ

Another busy week of walks, training, petsits and a little bit of fun in between πŸΎπŸ’œ

The dogs have been keeping me busy with plenty of real-world training from 𝕄π•ͺ π•Ÿπ•’π•žπ•– π•šπ•€ π•‹π•šπ•π•π•ͺ 🐢 building her confidence, Blair working on engagement around the noise of market day set-up, and Otto building confidence with his crate, to Bruiser working on heelwork and lure skills whilst Blair works on regulation whilst watching us.

Bruiser also had a 1:1 with The Modern Canine, where we worked on slowing things down and making my own lure work clearer. And he got to try something very different at a Pulsar Canine workshop, taking on the lure machine and playing chase in front of a whole room of people. Safe to say, he was very much in his element, once we'd tied chicken to it πŸ˜‚

There’s been lots of lovely walks too, with the crew enjoying some time together, plus petsitting with Flora, Wilma & Dottie WILMA 🐾

And in between all the dog stuff? An unnecessarily difficult holographic jigsaw because apparently I enjoy making my spare time challenging too πŸ˜‚πŸ§©

Dottie is our nervous nelly and needed a little time to find her confidence with me, but it was so lovely watching her slowly come out of her shell and start to enjoy herself.

Wilma, meanwhile, had absolutely no such concerns. Her immediate response was basically: "Ahem, treat lady, I'm pretty sure you're being paid to play with me every second of the day" 🀣

The girls even "helped" me with some of my training mentorship Zooms πŸΆπŸ˜‚

Another week of walks, training, learning and apparently some rain 🌧️

The dogs have been busy putting their skills to work in all sorts of real-life situations from engagement, recall and threshold work to muzzle and touch shaping. Blair even joined me for a trip to B&Q, where we squeezed in some heel and sit practice while picking up supplies for a DIY project.

One of the biggest wins this week was Bruiser handling a situation that would normally be very difficult for him. At the end of a walk, Sasha was waiting outside the car while Bruiser & Blair were in their crates, and despite the usual combination of barrier frustration and reactivity, Bruiser did brilliantly πŸ₯ΉπŸΎ

Otto also joined me and Bruiser for a mentor day with The Modern Canine, where we worked on his stranger danger and got some valuable experience working around new people and environments. Bruiser got some work in too, including some reactivity work and a chance to share a little of our pain journey. There were plenty of lovely walks with the rest of the crew too even if the weather clearly wasn't on our side 🌧️

And because apparently dog training wasn't enough, we finished that little DIY project I mentioned earlier, a makeshift bedside table that sits over B&B's crates. Practical and dog-friendly!

Another week of walks, training, petsits and plenty of personality πŸΎπŸ’œ

There’s been lots of training happening this week, Ruby working on making grooming a more comfortable experience, Otto building confidence around his crate, 𝕄π•ͺ π•Ÿπ•’π•žπ•– π•šπ•€ π•‹π•šπ•π•π•ͺ 🐢 practising some regulation work and Bruiser & Blair putting some serious effort into their heelwork and lure skills. Bruiser is also still working on play, sometimes a pencil case filled with kibble is what it takes πŸ˜‚

Away from training, Marcel enjoyed his usual walk, and I had some lovely petsit with Flora, Wilma & Dottie WILMA 🫢🏻 And then there was Sasha, who apparently decided the best place to sit was directly behind Bruiser whilst she drooled on him, he was not impressed πŸ˜‚

Just look at this gorgeous girl! And seriously… how does she have such perfect fur?! 😍

Flora enjoyed a very relaxed petsit, with some garden time on her harness and lead, plenty of fusses whenever she fancied them, and lots of very important cat naps.

One of my favourite parts was eating my lunch outside in the garden with her, just sitting together watching the birds πŸ₯ΉπŸ¦
