UPDATE: On closer inspection our vets now believe this cat is around 1yr old and has a few health issues.

We have had a young cat brought in to us, found in Shilton Park area, approx 6 months old, ginger tabby, female and no microchip located. She isn't in the best condition physically but seems healthy otherwise.

Update:
Thank you to those who have commented and shared this post. The cat is now in foster with Cats Protection. He is a friendly boy and is very much appreciating some well deserved respite. Due to his heart condition and suspected muscle atrophy, we feel it's in his best interest if he has a home where he can have continued care, treatment when eventually needed and will be closely monitored. He would be vulnerable and likely not survive being kept outside. As a practice we have taken oath to always do what is best to support the welfare and needs of owned pets and strays alike. On this occasion, releasing him is not deemed reasonable or fair.

We've sadly had a deceased entire male cat (light tabby in colour and with a scar on his elbow) brought in to us today, with no microchip located. He was found next to Dove Trees bus stop in Carterton and is likely to have been involved in an RTA.
