Ian would like to thank everyone for their well wishes on his Retirement.

Ian is so greatful to his customers for their loyal support since he took over the shop in 1997.

It has been an absolute pleasure to not just know Ian but his sister Jennifer as well, over more years than I care to remember(30)its been a rollercoaster ride too 🎢Anyone who knows Ian in particular will understand what im saying🫣To know him is to love him💙 I'm going to miss him so much. He had a talent for knowing my form if good😇bad😉 happy😁 or sad😪He knew when to apply banter 🤣& craic but he also had a sensitive & caring side😊 The odd hug was greatly received🫂
Remember all the daughters doing their wee spell in the shop some much keener than others👱‍♀️👱‍♀️👱‍♀️👱‍♀️
Jennifer was always ready with a hot meal for Ian on Thursday which was stock delivery day🍽 Even offering myself & my dad a hot drop if we timed it well🫣We will miss Jennifer's lovely home baking & her affection for my dad never went unnoticed😍 If she hadn't seen him in a while I was asked how he was keeping🤔 Even as lately as last wk Ian arrived out to my dad's with 2 homemade wheaten🍞 2 fruit loaves 🍞& a dozen scones🥯 enough for us both🥰
One last thought for Christine his lovely wife😁I wish you my love❤️ & best wishes ☘️as you get the chance to enjoy Ian's retirement in your new holiday home🏕at least you have somewhere to escape too😉should you need to😅

You've worked so hard for many years,
And now the day has come.
Its time for your retirement,
The shop working day is done.

Its time to fill each day with joy,
And do just what you want
Perhaps a night of dancing,
with you up at the front.

There'll still be early an start or two,
When you'll be out about the yard.
But you'll be happy with your view
So missing Carrick won't be hard.

After almost 30 years on North Street, Ian is retiring.

Ian would like to thank his loyal customers for their support over the years.

Ian’s last day is Saturday 18th April.

The shop will remain open under new ownership.
