Ted is 6 year old mini Yorkshire Terrier. House trained. He is neutered but his vaccines aren't up to date so will have a vaccine restart before rehoming. Ted is a loving, obedient dog. He loves attention and walks. He isn't good with small children so we would recommend children 8 years and over. Ted also likes to be the only dog in the house. This is no fault of teds but he deserve someone that has a wee bit more time to spend with him at home and give him all the attention he needs.

Jasper is 12 weeks old and is a playful puppy he has had his first vaccine and a clean bill of health from our vets and has been flead and wormed. Jasper is doing Fantastic with his foster family and is having lots of fun with the children. Jasper is now looking his forever home and a sofa to call his own.

These five beautiful Collie x jack Russel pups came into us last week. They were kept in a family home and sadly another accidental litter - please note we have offered to get mum spayed through JLH so this doesn’t happen again this is her first litter but there is so many dogs currently out there we do not need anymore.

Minnie Bridget Jessie Elsa and Finley 4 female one male - Finley the only male is in the first photo. These beautiful pups have had their first vaccinations been flead & wormed and are due back in two weeks time for their second vaccination & microchip.
They are learning really quickly to go on p*e pads and are very intelligent pups. Currently based in foster care in Comber & Lisburn.

This beautiful girl is the last off her litter that were surrendered to JLH she didn’t have a great start in life but that all changed when Kiki came into ourselves and found her amazing foster family with Shelley Mills Paul & Lara ❤️
Kiki has been around other dogs & kids and is great
Kiki is learning really quickly and is already using puppy pads, Kiki has also been around the Foster’s daughter and is a gentle little girl who truly deserves the best home she is fully vaccinated flead & wormed.

Well this has been a busy week at Just Like Home, would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new fosters and thank all fosters old and new for opening your homes and hearts to all these dogs/pups in need.

On a sadder note , we have had 2 dogs who were spotted in another rescue page so have been handed in by the people who were supposed to be their forever home. Otto formerly Reggie was picked up by us today and is now in our care. He was a litter of Lurcher/ Staffy who were in foster with us as pups in January. He may now get the happy ending he deserves as he is with the lovely Beth and she adopted Ottos sister Nimshee back in January. He has been booked in to be neutered in 2 weeks and he is so loved already and has grown into such a handsome boy.

This may be a good time to start talking about puppies for Christmas. These dogs are not a toy you can put away when you get fed up. When thinking about getting a puppy please consider

1. Have you time and patience to cover all aspects of puppy basic training?
2. Can you provide for a puppy financially, insurance, licensing, grooms, food, ever growing vet bills for vaccinations, spay/neuter?
3. Is your property secure especially when your pet reaches full size?
4. Is everyone in your household on board including any fur babies, a new arrival is a big change for everyone.
5. Have you researched your breeds? Dogs like people have all sorts of personality traits and it is so important you get a pet that is suited to your household/lifestyle?

Your pet will be in your life 10-20 years and that’s what you need to consider when getting a puppy.

If you have adopted a puppy/ dog from Just Like Home and you are struggling just get in touch as it is stated on the adoption form you have signed we take the dog back into our care.

We would also like to say that we know things can happen, we all have family homes too, if you are struggling please reach out we will do our absolute best to help, PM the page in confidence and the team will get back you.

At present we have a lot of little babies in our care, we are running low on supplies and the vet bill is ever rising.

We particularly need small collars leads and blankets but I have attached our Amazon wish list if there is anything you would like to gift.

Pip is a 21month old springer collie cross. Brindle in colour. Very affectionate, loves cuddles. Gentle and loves her teddies and ball, paddling at the beach and digging. Her recall is good when off lead at the beach, she knows sit and crate commands and sleeps all night in her crate and has long naps in it during the day. Toilet trained, fully up to date with vaccines and neutered. She is vocal, she will pull on the lead and is reactive to traffic. She is not good with cats and walking near cars. Her training in these things has not been consistent and needs someone with time and commitment. Great with other dogs, very social and high energy. Good with kids over 9 ...no experience with younger. Travels well in the car, just be careful taking her out if near moving vehicles as she will pull and bark.

-he is not neutered (He would need neutered within three months off adoption)
-Not sure about cats as we don't have any ourselves but when out on a walk he doesn't bother with cats.
- But as for other dogs he is fine with the one we have in our home already although she is old and all he wants to do is play with her but she isn't having any of it as she is a very calm settled dog. A successful meet and greet would be better with other dogs.
-He is fully vaccinated and micrchipped
-he is a very loving dog and loves plenty of cuddles, wont think twice about getting cuddled up beside you in your bed at night comfort is what he loves Jax needs the time and attention for intense training it's just when he is left alone he is very anxious howls and cries my partner and myself are unable to do simple tasks such as going out together to do shopping or even out to the garden. we have paid for trainers to come in and help but this hasn't worked unfortunately. This is the last thing we want to do but this has been ongoing over a year now and it's taking total on my mental health and my partners.
-Jax is about 15 months old
-As for kids we have no kids ourselves but have had a friend's child round to our home and he is fine when supervised but would advise older kids as he would nibble and I would be afraid if him nipping not meaning to. Ideally older kids would be better as he a very hyper dog also.
