The Jess Equine Lab has been approved by the Veterinary Medicine Directorate. This means I am legally authorised to sell equine wormers in the UK. It guarantees that these products meet strict regulations regarding safe storage, legal prescribing, and correct dispensing of veterinary medications.

As a Registered Animal Medicine Advisor qualified to advise, prescribe, and sell equine wormers, these products will now be available to clients whose horses require treatment.

Preventing anthelmintic resistance is the reason behind my worm count testing service and targeted worming approach. The option to purchase a wormer will only be made available to those whose horses require it based on their results and individual needs.

As we mark the beginning of Mental Health Awareness Week, this year’s theme, Action, reminds us that even the smallest steps can make a real difference 🌱

Farming life brings its own unique pressures, long hours, isolation, financial uncertainty and the constant demands of the land and livestock. It can be tough to pause but taking action for your mental health is just as important as looking after your farm.

This week, we’re encouraging our farming community to:

🚜 Take action for yourself – Check in with how you’re really feeling. Make time for a break, a chat, or something that helps clear your head.
🤝 Take action for others – Reach out to a neighbour, a friend, or a family member. A simple “How are you?” can go a long way.
🌾 Take action for your community – Together, we can break the stigma around mental health in farming and create a culture where it’s okay to talk.

You are not alone and support is always here. If you need to talk, Rural Support is just a call away on its confidential support line 0800 138 1678 (freephone).

Let’s take action—one conversation, one step, one day at a time.

🥂🤩We did it!!! BHS APPROVED LIVERY CENTRE 2026! We are immensely proud to be awarded our approval and be added to the list of BHS Approved Livery Centres in Northern Ireland.❤️🐴

What a superb way to end one flippin’ crazy week…anyone who has been through this process knows it is no small task and it takes a village of help…so we are delighted!

I would really encourage anyone thinking about going through the process to go for it..give the BHS approved team a shout as they were amazing.

Special thanks must go to all our amazing liveries, the BHS, Shelagh Laird Mark Robinson Equestrian Craig Hills Equestrian NFU Mutual Northern IrelandBallyclare, Linda Davis at Laurelview, Dave from NI Health and safety executive, Mark Mcgookin and so so many more for your support to all of us here, we really appreciated the help. ❤️

We can’t wait to get our official plaque and open some fizz to celebrate it but in the meantime we are off to order some BHS merchandise. Thanks all you rock 🤘🏻 🥂
