044 a beautiful cobalt violet FBG rainbow baby boy 💙

He's such a lovely little thing 😍 the last one left in the breeding cage for a couple more days until I see dad has stopped feeding him 🥰

So much baby spam today 🥰

Crystal and glade look like over the next few days they will attempt clutch 2 ! Fingers crossed for a better outcome 🤞

Minnow has 2 fertile eggs for round 2

Once my amazing smokey has finished raising his babies he will be having a long rest before going back to the flight so he can build himself back up !

Skyler and storm have gone back to the avairy as they just arnt laying any eggs and I will try them again next year in spring 🥰

The 5 parrotlet babies are doing amazing now and the eldest is getting feathers developing under the skin 🙌

I won't be adding any new pairs down now until all pairs are finished laying and rearing and go back to the flight so i can do a deep clean of all breeding cages, nest boxes and my shelving area and buy some new equipment 💙

In other news they have started on their 2nd clutch the 1st 2 eggs where infertile but just like the 1st round the 3rd egg is fertile💜

All 5 of the parrotlet chicks have hatched 🥰 its a little touch and go right now! Although mum is doing an amazing job. Dad has taken it upon himself to feed all the babies the wrong consistency of food and since yesterday I've been working around the clock to make sure they are getting the correct diet. They are all doing 10x better today but I'm still cautious about 2 of the chick's. I will monitor for the rest of the day and then have to intervene if there is still issues present

I've taken away all seed and have only made chop, moist egg food and a crumbly formula mixture availible to them so the babies are getting easily digestible food until the youngest chick is 5 days old 💖

Today I am feeling very very sad :( unfortunately the mum to my rainbow clutch winter passed away very quickly and suddenly ! And to say i am devasted is an understatement !

I cleaned their breeding cage out this morning and gave them fresh food and water like every morning and she was there with smokey waiting for her favourite chop ! And when I left the room she was eating and acting completely normal and then not even 15 minutes later she was gone 💔

Leaving behind her 5 babies in their dad's hands with me giving a close watchful eye incase he needs any help :( he is very stressed and is calling and calling for her and its breaking my heart !

This is the 1st time in 3 years this has ever happened to me and I'm honestly just feeling completely awful and sad 😔 I just hope her babies continue to thrive and her legacy will live on with them 💖

Parrotlet chick update 💙 3 babies hatched and the 4th egg is only hanging on by a thread and will be out by this evening 🥰 I should be able to ring the 1st baby tomorrow if its little leg has a growth spurt haha 😄

Aww these chick's are absolutely adorable 🥰 a couple of rainbows and a couple of dilute rainbows 🌈 🥰 a mix of cobalt and cobalt violets ! Mum and dad are doing a fabulous job !

Rhino boy 💜 I'm hoping next year he will do me proud 👏 tufted sky violet normal split clearwing and german fallow and possibly ino! My little hand reared miracle

✨️ his mum was a menace to society and his dad just wanted all the fun and non of the responsibilities ✨️

He will be paired to a clearwing hen, one that is also split German fallow hopefully 🥰 I've got a few options!
