Lovely quiet night for a schooling session last night, and a calm autumn sunrise this morning.

It’s hard to keep up with riding plans when life throws so much at us, work, kids, tiredness, weather, and that “maybe tomorrow” feeling. But I always feel better when I manage to fit in a schooling session, and a hack out is good for the soul (and good crack with company).

As the nights draw in, having arena lights means riding after sunset is still possible, giving a bit more flexibility for keeping things ticking over through autumn and winter.

I’m providing coaching sessions on:
• Monday mornings
• Tuesday & Thursday, 9am–7pm
• Every other Saturday

I thought it was time I properly introduced myself, especially as a lot has changed since I first created this page.
I’m Amy, and horses have been at the centre of my life since I can remember, from borrowing ponies in the village to Pony Club, riding club, affiliated jumping and dressage and bringing on my own horses. I’ve competed across the disciplines and enjoy coaching riders in dressage, jumping and progressive schooling. Alongside coaching, I’ve worked within the wider equine industry for many years, supporting apprentices, lecturing, and assessing equine groom qualifications. All of which has shaped how I teach and support riders. I’m now offering freelance lessons here at Bell House Equestrian, providing thoughtful, structured training for schooling, dressage, jumping, polework, and competition preparation. Bell House is a calm, supportive space where riders can develop their partnership and work towards their goals at their own pace. Small, supportive training clinics for horse owners wanting to develop their schooling, jumping, confidence, and partnership.
Progressive exercises are matched to the level of the group, held in the 60m x 30m arena with access to the Log Cabin for theory and rider development.

Group size: 2–4 riders
Themes: • Dressage Prep • Polework • Gridwork • Full Course • Jumping

We would like to officially welcome Hector to our herd! Thank you Debbie Wilson for trusting us to take him into our care 🍀. This lovely boy can now continue to be part of our team. Amazingly, we have learned that our trusted and one and only Woody, is his uncle! Little did we know! Photos of their XC schooling outing together earlier this year 😍. Also Willow is his second cousin. Keeping it in the family at Bell House Equestrian! 🥰

Great write up by VetSkill to signify our final apprenticeship achievement at Waldburg Shires. All our remaining apprentices completed and achieved, over half with distinctions. It’s been a journey, delivering apprenticeships for 12 years, saddened by the forced ending but positive results and glad to have supported so many young people with their equestrian ventures over the years with Equestrian Training Ltd. Onwards and upwards with Bell House Equestrian! ❤️

Exciting news! Toby Lawless at Equestrian Training Ltd is the first apprentice to complete the VetSkill Level 2 End-Point Assessment (EPA) for Equine Groom on the driving pathway, passing with flying colours.
