She’s left to be with her mum 💔💔🎀

After posting to say we’d hit that 3 week mark last night, Baby Girl gained her angel wings this morning 🪽 👼

She was booked in this evening at the vets for a check up as she’s never been “right”

Took us a good 45 minutes to bring her round after birth, to be full of fluid, her mouth wasn’t ever correct and we struggled with her latch and aspirating, she’s been on antibiotics since day one, BUT she’s fought every day and that’s why I’ve continued ❤️‍🩹 as long as she was fighting, so was I.

This morning she let me know it was all to much, I tucked her up warm and let her go 💔😢

Ice is waiting for you my girl and I know she’ll be so glad to see you 😭😭 I’m a little jealous 💔 sorry I couldn’t do more.

What’s crazy is, Ice passed away on my older sister’s birthday, so that day will always be bitter sweet.

Today is my mums birthday!!
So I’ll never be able to forget this day either 😢
I hope Ice and baby girl are having a cuddle with her now ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹🐾🪽

Rest easy, you’re all very much loved and in a much better place 🫶 love and miss you all, always 💝

Making it to three weeks with all 11 puppies is a happy day for me… today all 11 puppies (yes baby girl to) got stuck right into their food !!
A huge milestone, I’m so so pleased ❤️

I’d like to say I’ll get a bit of respite but we’re fully on our feet now, so with that comes more chaos and fun 😉

Half way through another week of these guys 🥹🫶

Baby girl is still with us, slow slow gains but she is feisty!
She struggles a little with aspirating so we’re trying different feeding approaches with her. Her latch just isn’t 100% and I think that’s what’s causing the issue.

The rest I’m sure are eating steroids for breakfast and attempted to get in mums food bowl yesterday 😳

Couple more days and we can start to wean - which will take a slight load off me 🙌

Beds upgraded to a slight raise so we’re starting to move off and onto the toileting area, quite amazing to watch them before their eyes even open naturally move away from their space to wee/poo.

Starting this early is what makes it so much easier for you when they come home ( those who’ve had pups off me will know 😉)

I am WAY behind on admin. So I’m really sorry to those waiting, I actually think I may close my Stafford waiting list for a while - any new enquiries will be next year earliest for puppies I’m afraid 💙🖤

And something we don’t do is “Amazon” puppies. Breeding isn’t that simple and if you’re that impulsive, I’m not the breeder for you 🙃

We’ve now had confirmation that there has been two confirmed cases of PARVO ( in Carlisle and south Cumbria)

My adults are all vaccinated and will pass immunity to their young, that said they are still at risk!

Immunity is passed through the colostrum to puppies and slowly decreases around 6-12 weeks of age, when we would usually do a first vaccine,
So that means my corso babies have absolutely no immunity to this, or any of the outside world really.
This means will be missing our shows this month at the least unfortunately, in person viewings and I’ll be VERY tight on my K9 clinic work.

Parvo is one of your core vaccines - now I am one for not over vaccinating, but it is also important to know we have immunity to this especially !! Hence why we are now choosing to titre test and not just over fill our dogs.

It lives everywhere and is around all over the time, you can carry it on your shoes, clothes, equipment, it can live for MONTHS sometimes longer!!!
Most cases involve puppies or older dogs with lower immune systems and it kills fast.

To reduce the risk:

* 🦠 Remove shoes before entering puppy areas.
* 🧼 Wash hands thoroughly after handling other dogs.
* 👕 Change clothes if you’ve been around unknown dogs, kennels, shows, or veterinary clinics.
* 🧴 Use a disinfectant known to kill parvovirus (ordinary household cleaners often don’t work).
* 🚫 Avoid dog parks and high-traffic dog areas until puppies are fully vaccinated.
* 🚗 Clean vehicle floors, crates, and carriers regularly.
