This is the summary of what our charity has been involved in during August 2026.
We currently have 30 dogs in our care, 16 of whom are reserved at the present time.
We had one flight 2 August for 19 dogs, 5 of whom had homes in place and 14 went into UK foster. 9 of them have now been rehomed and the remaining 5 are all reserved. One dog we originally rehomed in 2025 became available again and we have placed him in a foster home. We currently have 6 dogs in UK foster and 5 of them are reserved.
We have 3 flights in September - 11 Sept for 4 dogs all of whom have homes in place, 12 Sept for 4 dogs, 2 have homes in place and 2 are going into foster, 20 Sept for 5 dogs all of which have homes in place.
We donated £250 to Mission spay the strays in Nicosia, and £400 to help 2 pointers in the care of other Cyprus based rescue groups. We also donated £100 to Kyrenia Animal Rescue.
We paid our Cyprus kennel bill the total amount of which was 6351.50 euros. We also paid UK vet bills total amount £297.
We received £402 from Jan's bonus ball, £260.95 from PayPal Giving Fund, £4828 from the Apollo summer auction, £200 from Nicola's fundraiser, £100 from Jackie Spencer, £445 from Alison Welton which was from a collection in memory of her late mother who sadly passed away recently, £500 from Michelle St John, and £10 in general donations.
The monthly winner of our Pay it forward event who wins a snuggle sack from Kaz Crafty Corner is Clare Sebo.
Our 2027 calendar and Christmas cards will be available next month.
Across our three Facebook groups (Rehoming Cyprus Pointers, Apollo’s Angels and Apollo’s Angels Events) 161 new members joined and there were a total of 15211 posts, comments and reactions during August.
