🧡 Volunteers’ Week - Animal Care Volunteers 🩵

It’s the last day of National Volunteers’ Week, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our dedicated animal care volunteers. Caring for animals is at the heart of everything we do, and we simply couldn’t do it without your support 🐓🦆🫏🐐🐕🐈🐎

From looking after our resident animals who call Oak Tree their home, to helping care for dogs, cats and other animals waiting patiently for their forever families, our volunteers make a real difference every single day. Whether it’s mucking out stables, preparing feeds, making enrichment, walking dogs, spending time with cats in the cattery, or opening your homes as foster carers, your kindness and commitment help provide the very best care for the animals who need us most.

Thank you to each and every one of our amazing animal care volunteers. Your time, compassion and dedication mean the world to us and the animals in our care 🐾

We can’t believe handsome Hamish is still searching for his perfect match! 💔

Hamish is a clever and affectionate German Wirehaired Pointer who has so much love to give. He enjoys long walks, scent work, learning new skills and, after a day of adventures, nothing more than curling up for a cuddle on the sofa 🛋️

House trained, crate trained and a great traveller, Hamish has already shown what a wonderful companion he can be. He’s looking for an active, adult-only home where he can continue building his confidence and enjoy plenty of enrichment!

Hamish has been waiting patiently, could you be the person he’s been searching for? 🏡

🐾 Meet Yogi 🐾

Yogi is a handsome 3-year-old Shepherd cross who is searching for a calm and understanding forever home 🏡

This lovely boy may be a little unsure when meeting new people, but once he gets to know you, he is incredibly affectionate and loves a good fuss. Yogi is very food-motivated, making training both fun and rewarding, and he is currently working hard on his lead training and building confidence with short car journeys.

Yogi is looking for an active home where he can continue learning, exploring and enjoying life. He would prefer to be the only pet in the home, although he can enjoy socialising with dog walking friends out and about. With patience, kindness and plenty of tasty treats, Yogi is sure to make a loyal and loving companion 🐕✨

Meet Bea 🖤

Bea is an 8-year-old black cat looking for a quiet, loving home to call her own. This lovely girl enjoys the simple things in life and is an independent lady who prefers to seek out affection when she’s ready, making those special moments of fuss all the more rewarding 🐈‍⬛

Bea could potentially live with another cat following slow introductions, but above all she is looking for a peaceful home where she can settle in and feel safe 🏡

If you’re looking for a gentle companion who will bring calm company to your home, Bea could be your perfect match 🐾
