Same with dog walking, it’s unregulated and therefore really important you get someone who is recommended, insured and travels safely with your pets ###
🧡🐶🐾🧡
I just want to put another post about the Advanced Diploma in Pet Bereavement Counselling 🩶
Anyone can set up and say that they do this. It’s unregulated and therefore open to people taking advantage of those who are vulnerable.
I studied so I could get the most out of myself for every single person who contacted me. I have done 3 courses now (an online one, Blue Cross training and Living with Pet Bereavement for this one) and this course is far superior and detailed than any before. I have learnt so very much.
It took real effort and determination to get the essays back out after reading the topics for each module.
But aside from that my tutor Dawn Murray BCAh was the very best support. Her knowledge and compassion for the very highest standards of pet loss support are outstanding. She guided me through and there isn’t anything Dawn doesn’t know about pet loss.
Please be careful if you book sessions with someone who offers pet loss. Try to get a recommendation if possible from someone who has spoken to them. Dawn set up the Association of Pet Bereavement Counsellors to try to standardise and improve the care given to those experiencing pet loss.
I am super grateful for all your support Dawn. Couldn’t have done it without you. And pleased to be an accredited member of the association 🩶
