❤️🐾A cautionary tale…
The Dead Cat Incident 🐈⬛
Our story begins on a peaceful country lane.
A woman is driving along, going about her working day, when up ahead she spots a car pulled over. 🚐
Then she sees a rather scary looking woman get out.
She watches this woman KICK A DEAD CAT ONTO THE VERGE.
Well.. Absolutely f***ing not!
Our heroine sees red 😡
In the space of approximately 0.3 seconds, she has established the facts of the case:🤔
This woman has clearly run over someone’s beloved pet, booted the evidence into a hedge and is now planning to flee the scene.
Justice must be served.
She SLAMS on the brakes.
Pulls over.
And, with all the confidence of someone who has absolutely no idea what is actually happening, shouts:
“YOU CAN’T JUST LEAVE IT THERE! THAT’S SOMEONE’S PET!”
The woman turns around stares her straight in the 👀
She continues.
“You need to take it to a vet! They can check it for a microchip! Someone could be looking for it!”
There is a pause.
The scary woman stares at her.
Our heroine stares back, presumably feeling like some sort of countryside Batman for deceased pets.
And then the woman says:
“It’s a dead BADGER, you silly cow.” 🦡🦡
……
Oh…
Apparently the “cat” was, in fact, a fully grown badger.
It had been there for ages and had already been reported.
And the woman was simply moving it further off the road.
What followed was a lot of apologising, an increasingly angry woman explaining the situation in great detail, and one deeply embarrassed animal vigilante desperately trying to get back into her car and f**k off as quickly as humanly possible.
She left with her dignity in tatters, but an important lesson had been learned.
Moral of the story:
Before starting a roadside confrontation on behalf of a dead cat…
Make sure it’s actually a f***ing cat. 🤦🏻♀️
Or, alternatively:
Mind your own business. 😂😂😂
🐾❤️Plus- more importantly, Some beautiful photos over the last couple of days, including a sleepover with Bryn 🥰
