‼️For those affected by the wildfire smoke please be aware of the risks to your fur babies. I’m not an expert but as I can currently smell smoke I’ve checked the Air Quality Index (AIQ) and it is currently A PM2.5 reading of 69 μ g/m³ which falls into the "Moderate to Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups" range.

This is for humans but dogs are more sensitive especially puppies, senior and flat-faced breeds. Be careful everyone ❤️🐶

The safest and most effective way to cool down an overheated dog is to move them into the shade, offer cool (not ice-cold) drinking water, and douse their underbelly, inner thighs, and neck with cool water. Combine this with a fan to maximise cooling affect. Avoid wetting their back as this can actually trap the heat in.
