A little business post I didn’t really want to have to make…
I’ve recently had an issue with a customer being late with a payment, and honestly, it’s frustrating.
I completely understand that things can happen and payments can sometimes be overlooked. But when you’re a one-person business, late payments have a much bigger impact.
There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes at Paws & Claws Clean Up — serving customers, answering enquiries, keeping the database updated, ordering equipment and supplies, travelling between jobs, managing the waste, doing the admin and trying to keep growing the business.
I don’t have a big office team behind me. It’s just me doing all of it.
On top of running the business, I’ve got a young child and a family who need my time and attention, and I need to make sure I’m looking after myself too.
The last thing I want to be doing at the end of a busy day is chasing people for payments that are already due.
The people who have met me know I’m a genuinely kind, honest and trustworthy person. I always try to treat people how I would want to be treated, and I certainly don’t appreciate that kindness or trust being taken advantage of.
I’m not asking for anything unreasonable — just for invoices and payments to be dealt with on time.
I truly hope that the way you treat other people is the way you are treated yourself, and that nobody ever takes advantage of your kindness.
I’m incredibly grateful to all of my customers who pay promptly and continue to support my small business. It genuinely means a lot. ❤️
